I had previously been verified as working for schools. I tried to use the promo last year and there was a different promo that was better (balcony for inside price). I just received the following email. I don't think the promo is as good as it sounds but thought I would post it for those educators who had previously been verified.

hope the 'educators' promo works better than the recent 'medical' promo ... wife verified, never received the email link to cruises.

 

someone had previously posted available cruises and we didn't really see anything special for the 25% discount.

 

we did take advantage of the previous 'medical' promo last year (50% off) and booked a little 4 day on the REGAL back in January 2022

So this is weird - I had previously been getting an email from a Princess Cruise Vacation Planner but it was sent to someone with a different name and different Captain Circle number than me. Recently - when a promo came out earlier this month - he actually called me. I indicated that I was not "Sarah" and he said maybe someone gave them my Captain Circle number by mistake. I then said "and my email? - it most likely is a Princess tech goof up". He agreed. I have to say he was pleasant.

 

So I received this promo from my CPV. I have used a TA for all of my Princess cruises. I don't care. I can delete them. I just found it weird that I haven't received it direct from Princess with out the CPV.

 

I did not need to get re-verified for this. Though I looked at several cruises today that I had been eyeing and I don't see a price difference. Though they are not the ones listed in the email.

 

I was one who did buy the Plus package even though I don't drink alcohol. It made life easy and I didn't feel guilty ordering fresh squeezed OJ or a mocktail. Under normal conditions (and probably with this promo) - I will not be buying Plus package again. I think Princess tinkered with it too much that while I was willing to buy it before (and Princess totally won out on me) - I probably won't buy it again. So this promo doesn't really help me IMO.

 

Several of the cruises listed really don't work in an Educator's schedule. So it seems like they appreciate us - I don't think much thought goes into the promo. Or maybe that was the intention?

The more I look at this - it appears it is "the Best Sale Ever" promo but you get the upgrade to Princess Premier if you buy Princess Plus.

 

Not really a deal IMO. Others may disagree.

Finally some directions as far as reserved seating.  I could not find who qualifies for teacher rate.  Past educators included?

I don't think so. 

 

I qualified in May for 25% off cruises. Though - I had a better rate for my Transatlantic and it wasn't 25% off the lowest rate code. This discount was until the end of the year.

 

The promo today seems to be "book plus get premiere". At this point, I am not even interested in Plus since they have changed it.

That’s a lot of money. For $20 more per day, you could maybe cruise in an inside cabin!

I don't even want to buy the Plus package anymore how it is re-designed! Let alone Premiere! The Plus package before was fine with me.

We are booked for Jan'24 Princess cruise with no special Teacher discounts. However, my wife is a retired Math teacher. Are we missing  anything we would be entitled  to? But, we have a great on-line travel agent with over $400 in on-board credits due.

I don't think they have any offers right now for Educators.
