Thank you for this thread!  I sent in our SH OBC docs last week but had not heard back from PCL.  I'm used to CCL sending a confirmation e-mail once the OBC has been approved.  Thanks to this thread I learned I needed to just go to my booking and look for it there.  Found it - yay!

in the US recently Princess will send an email to acknowledge receipt of the request, then will send an updated booking confirmation that will show the additional obc, even though there is no mention of why the updated confirmation was sent.

The confirmation mail can be hit, or miss. I’m 2 for 4 on confirmation emails on my OBC requests.

That may be what the "fine print" says...but I applied shareholder credit at least 2 months ago for a cruise this September... Even *this* appears to be hit or miss!

Yes...I was surprised but this particular cruise I deviated and went through a TA.  But I'm pretty sure I did not go through them...did it myself.

Yep...I just double-checked.  I sent request in on 9/1/22.  Maybe they did not catch the fact that it was a year out!

Mat:  blah, blah, blah.  May I have your membership number?  I don't see stockholder information.  Do you have multiple membership numbers? (No).  

Me:  It's already on an upcoming cruise.  I just want to add it to next one.

Mat:  I'm sorry, I can not remove it from current and add to next.

Me:  NO, NO, NO...I just want to add.

Mat:  You will need to re-submit another request.  Yes, you can do it now.

 

For another day.  Why do I bother?

My Sept Alaska cruise was one out of my 2 for 4 where I actually did receive confirmation that the OBC had been applied and I got a new booking summary via email

No need for urgency. It's usually handled within a day now. If it doesn't happen close to sailing, you can search and find an office number, which I called once when it got close, and the rep helped me right away, while I was on the phone.
