Rare mom says Posted January 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2023 No, your RCCL status doesn't transfer to Princess. I found this article with bar menus. Scroll past all the info on alcohol packages if they don't apply: https://cruisingkids.co.uk/princess-cruises-drinks-prices/

satxdiver Posted January 11, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2023 Carnival and Royal are two separate corporations and reciprocity does not exist. Therefore the OM gets to start over to earn status. Carnival Corp & PLC has over 100 cruise ships scattered over 10 separate brands and does not offer reciprocity between the 10 different brands. RCCL does offer reciprocity between its RCL and X cruise brands.
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted January 11, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2023 Even Carnival does not "match" loyalty levels within its own umbrella of cruise lines. Sad...
racj846 Posted January 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2023 Not quite true! Friends in the UK are high up in the P&O Penisular Club. They have booked a cruise on Sky Princess for later this year and have been 'awarded' Elite status "as a courtesy". They had also planned to join us on Sky for a Norwegian cruise last year and were again awarded Elite status. Unfortunately they had to cancel that cruise owing to illness. I may be wrong in this, but I was under the impression that if you achieved status in the combined P&O UK and Princess loyalty schemes before the schemes were demerged several years ago, that your status on Princess remained. Perhaps that is the "courtesy". Even now, cruises on P&O Australia count toward Captains Circle on Princess.
Rare BamaVol Posted January 12, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2023 At times, a line may offer to match status. I think it was MSC that did it for us, although we did not take advantage. Interestingly, it was based on a high level airline or hotel chain status, not even another cruise line. But this was quite some number of years in the past. You know what they say, it doesn’t hurt to ask and being told no doesn’t really hurt either. You rarely get what you don’t ask for.

skynight Posted January 12, 2023 #10 Share Posted January 12, 2023 As posted, no loyalty status. Regarding alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The Plus and Premier fares are a good value if you drink around 3 alcoholic beverages per person per day and use the internet. The crew appreciation (auto-tip) charge is included with these packages. Without the packages a charge of $16, $17 or $18 per person/per day, depending on cabin category, is posted to your on board accounts. You can find details of the packages here: https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/ If you are booked in a full suite there are some additional benefits such as laundry service, special breakfasts, concierge lounge on Royal Class ships only. Look up Princess Cruises full suite benefits. Also note that mini suites do not receive full suite benefits. However, if you book a club class mini suite you will be entitled to club class dining.
