COVID-19

Been trying to get a simple answer to a simple question; couldn't find an answer on Celebrity's website, so:

Do you have to show a negative COVID test results when boarding a Celebrity cruise?  Thanks.

The other thing that needs to be considered, is that currently, all of the Australian/NZ/South Pacific itineraries - all on the Eclipse - require monitored B2B testing - so if you are a consecutive cruiser, the crew swab your nose.  Only a self home test is needed to board, but if you are B2B, you must endure a monitored test.  But, if you call Celebrity, they will tell you that no back to back testing is occurring throughout the fleet - however, this is not true - it is itinerary dependent as per the restrictions the countries the ship is calling at impose.  Covid testing is not over.

And even this is itinerary dependent - meaning, for instance on the Eclipse currently, if you're not vaccinated, you can go on the cruise yes, but you are not allowed off in Fiji and I think from the reports, any of the South Pacific islands!  So it's all still a bit of a tricky business.

Yes no and maybe.  Unfortunately it is not a simple question. What is the itinerary?

Celebrity recently changed protocol and some of that has changed but celebrity hasn't updated their page.  Maybe that is what the * says.

Currently all US cruises that is accurate and no testing is required.

TransAtlantics and TP and Australia/New Zealand do have testing requirements and on the TransAtlantic protocol you again need to be Fully Vaxed and will need to be tested either monitored or self monitored.

I'm being told that on a B2B with a TA we will need to be tested by the ship but personally have gotten a different answer from Celebrity.

If you tell us where you plan on sailing , it will be easier. We are on the Edge in the Caribbean and no testing was required

Based on prior posts, OP is on Reflection out of Fort Lauderdale next month.

We did beyond two months ago , no vaccinations or test needed, we are doing a music charter in two months on summit the charter is requiring Covid shots and a test three days before sailing , we are fully vaccinated including boosters but a little annoying doing another test. On last years music charter then then required another test before boarding the ship .

thanks everyone for your responses; I did check the web-site and spoke with Celebrity; no testing for our cruise next month.  I just wanted to ensure we had all our ducks in line, 😃!  A friend of ours had a problem and almost was not able to board his ship; didn't want that to happen to us.  But, looks like everything is in order, thanks again!  Happy Cruising!

This is too important to topic for you to trust opinions of people on this board. Go right to the Celebrity website and will direct you to the particular ports you are going to and what the Requirements are.
everyone here wants to be helpful, but if they give you the wrong advice you will have a big problem.

99% of the responses are right on, true, there are exceptions!
