Favorite Drink On Your NCL Cruise

We have a fairly long list of cocktails that we enjoy...but I always like to get ideas for new ones to try that other cruisers enjoy to add to my drink list especially any ones that are more specific to NCL if anyone has any suggestions :)!

We are not in Haven...but I did read someone really liked the Rum Cake...does anyone know if that is a drink that we can get at another bar onboard?  We are sailing on the Breakaway in February.

Thanks & Cheers!!

My instinctive answer is "the one that's in my hand", but I've been partial to the Dark & Stormy (right side of picture below) for my last couple of cruises, and what I choose as my first drink after boarding.
Also a big fan of the First-Morning-at-Sea Bloody Mary.
Thanks for calling out the Rum Cake though. That's a yummy one, too. Got that at Shakers on Epic a couple of times.

Spicey grey goose bloody Mary, Black Label, Guinness.  The three basic food groups on a cruise.  Oh yeah, DD orders Prosecco for me at lunch and dinner.😎  I have tried drinking that other stuff, but I really haven't been able to get the point.  I'll occasionally mix in a Grey Goose screwdriver.  I call it the screwed goose, but it really hasn't caught on. 🤣

Our staple drink is Grey Goose Bloody Caesar. ( Clamato juice instead of tomato juice).

(more popular with Canadians)

I was taught by many Canadian guests to drink Bloody Caesar's onboard a Celebrity cruise many years ago and definitely prefer...typically with Ketel 1, but Grey Goose works too!!  Thanks!

I like your style and the good news...NCL lets you order 2 drinks at once...so one for each hand :)!!

If you have the free drinks in the casino through the players club, can they make any of these, or are they limited? I don't drink enough to bother with the unlimited package, but would love to try a few.

I generally like the flights of mojitos to try them all.

Depends on what your personal preferences are.  I love my Champagne but will occasionally get a Toasted Almond if I'm craving something sweet.  Espresso Martinis are also fun (and were a specialty of the bartender in A List on the Joy.)  Both will sneak up on you because you don't really taste alcohol, especially in the TA, so after about 5 you'll wonder why the ship is doing donuts.

Limoncello Martinis are a favorite of mine! I also love the Guava Berry Mohito and Grasshopper.

Oh my hubby will love the Limoncello Martini...I am going for the Guava Berry Mojito...100 years since I have had a Grasshopper...why not...going to order one of those too 🙂

I love any Martinis...especially an Espresso...adding Toasted Almond!

Mango Meltdown cocktail - it is absolutely amazing... so refreshing and easy to drink and looks delicious and summery

it has spiced rum splash of amaretto strawberry purree mango puree and these are iced and it is so smooth  - there may be more things in it but not sure

my favourite drink ever

You got me at Mango...my #1 favorite ingredient.  We have had some FABULOUS bartenders on different cruises and they have taught him to perfect mango margaritas (with tajin on rim) and mango margaritas.  I had my 1st drink on the Breakaway picked out...but THANKS to you...I am changing it. Any specific bar onboard to order this?

I've tried a bunch of things and everything was good except the Aperol Spritz, but I think the Bloody Mary at Topsiders was my favorite so far

I have two more sea days on the Gem before we get back to NYC - anything else I should try?

you'd most likely be able to get most of these drinks, but you won't be able to call the particular liquor.  You'd get the house pour.  So instead of Grey goose bloody Caesar, you'd get the house pour, which maybe absolute.  Like you, I also pass on the unlimited package and just go with the casino drinks, but I drink straight liquor as well as beer and wine.  Being a diabetic, I skip the cocktails because they usually have something sugary in them

No kidding...I think the only time I ever got the messaging to work on the NCL app was after a martini "tasting" (they are really martini drinkings) on Pearl a few years ago.

She preserved it for posterity...name blacked out to protect the innocent...

Hahaha, omg the martini tasting!! My sister and I went with my mom and aunt for my bday a few years ago. My sister and I (in our early 40s) drank the martini samples, finished the ones my mom and aunt didn't like, and then ordered a full size of our favorites. We spent the afternoon laughing hysterically at everything, then in the bathroom, and by the time we got to the specialty restaurant for my birthday dinner, we couldn't eat a thing. I don't think mom and aunt have ever forgiven us. Lesson learned....(but d@@@mn those martinis were good....)

Pretty much how I got there, too--was with a group of three teachers who "didn't like gin"...I did them the service of disposing of the ones they didn't like...had a wonderful long conversation with them that will forever go unremembered, and the rest is relationship history. Slept off the rest of the afternoon, ate quite lightly that night for dinner--even though the kids insisted on going to Moderno (the Brazilian steakhouse with the unlimited meat feast).
