This is the same itinerary we did (twice) on our last cruise, a B2B on Elation in January 2020 (although the second leg missed both ports due to winds or waves and we ended up at Nassau). So long ago. I'm looking forward to seeing the ports again. Thanks for taking us along!

I’m finally caught up! We just got off the Mardi Gras yesterday, so I was a little behind. But I’ve been waiting for this review.

We had one of those L shaped cabins on the liberty years ago. Did you like it?

Thanks for jumping on board. Also, thanks for posting your thoughts on the Mardi Gras. We love those cabins, and always try to book them on the Conquest and Dream Classes.

It’s time to get muster out of the way. Our muster station is “G”, which all the way aft on the starboard side on Deck 4. We cut through the Chic Restaurant on the way back there. This is the restaurant used for Your Time Dining (YTD)…..

After muster we head up to our cabin to drop off our carry-ons. The cabin isn’t ready yet, but we meet our cabin steward, Agung, and let him know we’ll be leaving our carry-ons in the closet. No problem. We’re getting hungry, so we head up to the Lido buffet on Deck 9, which is called the Freedom Restaurant. Here is today’s buffet menu and carving station…..

We decided to go to the Ol’ Fashioned BBQ up on Deck 10…..

Here is Patti’s plate…..

Patti had gone down to the buffet to make a salad, and she brought me back a bowl of jambalaya…..

I arrive for the show about a half hour early and grab a seat in the back at the bar. I get my standard Punchliner drink…..

Marcela, the Comedy Host, gets the show started…..

This show features Jersey, and the audience immediately gets into it…..

He was very funny even though it was a PG show. I can’t wait to see his 18+ show! I made my way to the Lobby bar for a couple of drinks before calling it a night. When I got back to the cabin Patti was already there. No luck at bingo tonight.

Coming up next: It’s GREAT to be back at sea day!!

Do you and Patti get the Cheers package?

No, it doesn't work out for us. Patti is primarily a water drinker and will only have one or two drinks a day.

Day # 5 - (January 8^th) - Fun Day at Sea # 1.

We were up to a sunny and much warmer day. The seas are fairly calm. Here is the view from our balcony looking forward and aft……

Here are today’s “Fun Times”……

We are not planning on eating breakfast this morning since we’ll be going to the Diamond Event later on this morning. The first order of business is the Morning Show, “The Wave”, in the Victoriana Theater. I’m going to get a coffee up at the Coffee Bar at the back of the Freedom Restaurant on Lido Deck, and then meet Patti there. Patti arrives early and gets theses shots of the Victoriana Theater…..

The stage is set for “The Wave”……

“The Wave” begins, starring our Cruise Director, James Love, and Comedy Host Marcela……

They are later joined on stage by the shopping expert Monica. She has a new title, “Carnival Insider”……

Afterwards, I head up to the Red Frog Rum Bar to have a few beers with my new buddies. Patti is going to check out the shops and take some more pictures around the ship. She gets these of the Carnival Freedom’s trophy cases…..
