want to try MSC but web won't let me select room

So what gives with MSC.  I tried for a half hour and no matter what type of room and what ship, never got a prompt to select a room

 

I am about to give the heck up unless someone can explain the mystery to me.  I travel on 6 other cruise lines, and can always book a room of my choosing.

Are you booking under Bella? If so, that category is guarantee only cabins.

Try Fantastica or above  for choosing a cabin.

Thanks. Wish it would say so.

I guess MSC is not for me then.

the cheapest rooms have to be assigned and that I do not like.

For your particular cruise, what is the price difference between Bella and Fantastica? I just looked at a random cruise date and the difference was only $10pp.

Well I did pay attention to price since I was trying to select room.

If you fail already here then MSC definitely is not for you. The cabin selection is one of the few things that really work perfect on MSCs website 😄

my TA just asks what general area we want, and then offers a list of what's there.

Are you using an I-Pad or computer ? I find MSC website works much better on my laptop with Chrome.

Same issue for those looking at YC cabins. 
When you click to see available cabin in deck plan,  It bumps back to start of select your booking .

I didn't have any issue doing a mock booking just now. I could select an experience, deck, stateroom, etc. I could click to see the deck plan, go back, no problem.
