Cab fare to RIU Palace, Nassau

We have day passes at RIU Palace resort in Nassau but it doesn't include transportation.  They sent a notice saying to confirm the price with the driver before accepting a ride.  Does anyone know approximately what the cab ride should be each way?

$12 -15 each way, cabs are cash only and exchange is 1 to 1, US dollars are accepted everywhere.   Safe 20 minute walk if you are inclined.

Definitely confirm the price (since they legally are fixed rates) before you go. Otherwise they're known for making up their own fares.

The best and most up to date info can be found with Google and Google maps and is a short 39 minute walk if you want to save money

We were there the first week in February.  $5 per person in a group van waiting at the pier on the way there. Stopped at a few spots to let people off.   Cabs are waiting in the front of the hotel for the way back.  Since it was a private cab, that was $17 for 2 people.  Plus we added a tip of course.

We’ve used a technique where two people in our party ask two different cabs for their fare, then go with the cheaper. Agree nearly all cabs downtown use a “sliding scale” pricing technique, where they charge what they think they can get away with.

If so, that was included in what we paid. It wasn’t mentioned as a separate addition to the fare.
