slyons29 Posted March 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2023 Planning to bring 6 bottles on board this Friday for our NCL Gem cruise to Bermuda. Do I have to carry it on myself or can I leave it in the box and just label it with my room number like the rest of my luggage? Any insight is greatly appreciated! TYIA. sl While I can’t find it in writing, any wines found in Checked luggage should be confiscated. The screeners have no way of telling if it is wine or spirits. And if it is wine, they have no way of telling if you need to pay corkage on it. If sent to the Naughty Room, you’ll need to wait in a [long] line at security on embarkation night to get it out.
slyons29 Posted March 28, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted March 28, 2023 Thanks for the insight! I will carry it on myself. Looking forward to embarkation this week!
1025cruise Posted March 28, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2023 My understanding is that wine must be carried on.
zqvol Posted March 28, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 28, 2023 It has to be carried on, you cannot check it with the porters.

casofilia Posted March 29, 2023 #9 Share Posted March 29, 2023 (edited) Has anyone a definition from NCL of what they define as wine? Does it include Champagne, Port, Sherry? Edited March 29, 2023 by casofilia
