Hop onboard the beautiful Norwegian Encore for a Spring Break Getaway with The Bird! The Encore is departing from Miami on Easter Sunday and calls at Great Stirrup Cay, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, and the Dominican Republic. This is the Encore’s last Caribbean cruise of the 2022-2023 season. Following this cruise, the Encore transits the Panama Canal to the a west Coast to begin her Alaskan season. The Encore returns to Miami in November 2023 to resume this itinerary through the winter 2023-2024.

The Encore was delivered to NCL on October 30, 2019, and made her way from Southampton to New York and then to Miami. On November 21, 2019, the Norwegian Encore was christened and named by her godmother, Kelly Clarkson. The Bird was on the Encore for her inaugural voyage on November 24, 2019, and NCL’s first North American cruise after the pandemic shutdown, the Great Cruise Comeback, on August 7, 2021. This will be The Bird’s fourth voyage the stunning Norwegian Encore.

I'll be following along, too. We board her in 1 week - doing the Panama Canal transit. Of the ports on the 15 day Panama Canal cruise, we've only been to Miami and Los Angeles - so really looking forward to 2 weeks of relaxation and fun. We've never sailed on the Encore - so appreciate any ship-board tips you'll share. 🙂

If you are in the Haven, there will be a booth outside the main terminal door. They will escort you to a private elevator to the separate Haven security checkpoint and checkin. Then you can enjoy some pre-cruise refreshments in the Haven Lounge.

We’ll try to bring her back in one piece. Lots of people with t-shirts saying “WARNING we have purchased the unlimited beverage package”.

Very nice!!  I'll be following along.  Encore is one of my three favorites.😎

It's nice to hear that whatever bonehead was in charge decided that the East restrooms needed to be open.  Why were they closed at times?  A mystery that may never be solved....

The Encore will be sailing full this week with 4800 passengers of which 900 are young cruisers (there were about double the amount of kids on the cruise disembarking today). Not many top tier latitudes members this week, a lot of newbies.

Muster. Last week, the Encore reverted to virtual musters which continue this week. As of muster time, there are still a lot of people who have not bothered to swipe-in at their muster station. That will force the cruise line to go back to in-person musters where they can clear the ship.

Our son and his girlfriend are doing their first vacation together at age 21.  As they aren’t much for posting I’m thrilled to have found your blog to follow along, thank you!
