@BirdTravels Thank you for your very detailed and thorough review! I always appreciate the time you take to provide so much information about the ship and all venues.

Do you have any insights or thoughts on how you are scoring a bottle of wine each day of your cruise? It looks like NCL appreciates you, too. I know this is not typical for most guests in Club Balcony Suites.  Thank you!  Enjoy your cruise!

This may be a niche request but if you happen to be back in the casino, can you please take a photo of the video poker screen? If it gives you a choice of game, I'm particularly interested in payouts on Jacks or Better, or multi play e.g. 3-play, 10-play etc.at the 25c or 50c level.  Thanks very much SQUAWK

The denomination ($0.25 or $0.50) did not affect the pay table.

Some was expected and some were gifts. The Bird is a friendly sort. The GM, the GM’s secretary, Food and Beverage Senior Director, and the Restaurants Manager have all tracked The Bird down to chat (The Bird is fair game anytime you swipe in at a restaurant or venue). And as result of chats, they have sent The Bird goodies.

The Bird has talks to the General Manager a couple of times a day. “Hi Bird. How is your day? What are your plans?”.

The senior and administrative staff are happy for the early arrival because they will undergo a US Immigrations and Customs audit today, in advance of the crossing next week.

We’re the first ship in port today and the ships are waiting for us. In general, this is the end of the Caribbean season. Cruise lines move their ships to the more profitable Alaska and European markets for the summer (when the Caribbean is too hot and too plagued with hurricanes). The shops will also be moving their stock and personnel to those markets. Sale sale sale!

Also: How do you get into the employee areas?   May non-birds, and anthropomorphized serving vessels in particular, saunter into the kitchen and ask for shrimp?

The Bird knows a guy… Actually this was the complimentary behind the scenes tour for upper-tier Latitudes members. They have recently restarted them. Since the pandemic, they have not wanted dirty, germy passengers in crew areas.

But,,, it was funny that we always got put IMG_2842.thumb.jpeg.408ab96647c1f07b7527b7c351f15257.jpegin the “garbage” elevators.

Hi Bird,

Loving your review with all the info & menus as they stand today (I noticed the absence of any Pinot Grigio on comp menu, for example).

Obviously food is subjective but what have been your favorites so far?

Sounds like GM Deepak and team are showing their appreciation for Bird's years of loyalty and being a repeat guest on Encore.  Yes, they do remember guests and will go out of their way to give you the best vacation.  Enjoy your special goodies!

Thanks for taking the time to explore Encore and share it with us!

As always @BirdTravels your review is informative, fun and makes us all want to travel with the Bird!  Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts with us!

The Encore was our first sailing after the Great Comeback, so she has a very special place in our hearts.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise Bird!

One of the big things on the ship this week is the Meet The Winemaker events. Miguel Torres Maczassek, a fifth generation winemaker from Spain is onboard hosting guided wine tasting of his wines and an exclusive dinner for 20 with paired wines with each course. NCL has several of these events scheduled on selected sailings throughout the year.

Muster. Last week, the Encore reverted to virtual musters which continue this week. As of muster time, there are still a lot of people who have not bothered to swipe-in at their muster station. That will force the cruise line to go back to in-person musters where they can clear the ship.

Those who did not show up for the emuster would be the same ones that don't show  up for the inpersonmuster.  Shut off their cocktails when they don't show would clear this up quickly.  Or, set up a system where cocktails cannot be purchased until the card is scanned at the emuster station.
