Bringing Wine Onboard

I assume Celebrity still allows two bottles of wine to be brought onboard?

Do they still charge the corkage fee when brought to the dining room or upon embarkation as NCL does?

Thanks ahead 😊

Yes.

With a drink package no.

Clearly explained under frequently and questions.   Recently Changed

It's all spelled out in your cruise contract along with the ramifications if you decide to sneak on a magnum or keg.

Yes, two bottles of 750ml of wine per passenger over the legal drinking ago at initial embarkation only.

No corkage if you have a drinks package.

Thank you

We do not plan on getting a drink package.

The wine will not be taken to any dining venue

Perfect 😊

Just uncork the bottle, pour it, and bring it to your dining venue of choice in a wine glass.  No charge for that.

From the e-docs for my upcoming cruise:

Thanks for this.  I was confused by the wording on their website under the "Conduct Policy" that seems to say every bottle brought on board was subject to a corkage fee.  Your e-docs make it more clear that the fee only applies when you bring it to a restaurant, bar, or lounge.

I find it interesting that the above wording states each guest is allowed two bottles of wine, not each cabin.

I keep seeing both statements (depending on what I am reading). On our cruise last week, before we left I read through the massive pdf they supply for the cruise before you leave. And in that document  it stated 2 per person which really surprised me and I assumed it was a mistake.

We had a package so we didn't test it.

Just got off the solstice.  No drink package.   So we brought 2 bottles each in our carry on while getting on the ship.  No questions.  Then we got 2 bottles of complimentary wines and a bottle of champagne from Aqua.  So as it turns out we got too much to drink and have to donate a bottle.

The policy changed.

Check your cruise documents. It's spelled out quite specifically there.

We boarded the Apex for a transatlantic on the 22nd, they were only allowing 2 bottles of wine per cabin and were confiscating the excess at the security screening shore side, meaning you would not get it back at the end of the cruise.

First time we have been questioned about how many bottles of wine we had

Cheers - now back to cruising:)
