How is HAL for very tall folks?

Hey all - I’m wondering if there are any other folks on here that are quite tall and what their experiences have been on HAL. I’m scheduled to cruise on the Zaandam in May - I’m 6’10 and am wondering if there is anything I should be aware of.  Do they have mattress.extenders?

I'm not tall, so I can't respond to this from personal experience, but I watched a series of youtube videos by Harr Travel.  The person doing the tour was tall, I think he said he was 6'8".  Here's a link to one of his videos.

Thanks! If he is 6’8 then it looks like the cabin ceilings are normal 6’8 door heights.  Not ideal but I won’t need to contort too much in the room.

I have seen guests 7 foot plus on board.

I'm 6'5" and have never had any issues on HAL.  Beds were long enough for me with some room left over.  No issues with ceiling height or doorways.

@jthek is pretty tall and has sailed on a lot of HAL ships (he is 5*).

 

What class/location of cabin are you booked in? I have never heard of mattress extenders being available, and in many cabin layouts there would be little room for one.

Yea - I deal with that on a daily basis. Was thinking more about low cabin ceilings, tight seating. Etc.  thank you for the insights.

Though I have never investigated them, I hear there are showers in the spa/gym areas and maybe they are more spacious.  EM
