I'll have to avoid buying my gas in Ft Lauderdale next cruise ... not that their prices were anything great to begin with.

I'd bet that gas in Ft. Lauderdale is probably $1/gallon cheaper than it is anywhere in California.

Is the gas shortage in Fort Lauderdale causing problems getting taxis to go to the pier or airport?

The news says they’re getting more gas brought into Ft Lauderdale area.

You might check with a current roll call, to see what is going on.  You could also use Uber/Lyft instead of a taxi.

Just about anywhere is cheaper than Ca.

I have noticed that local prices have jumped up somewhat.  I can't tell if it is because of the Port shutdown or not.

It's risen in SW Florida also and we all know the reason.

Crude oil is refined into gasoline and then transported by bulk oil freighters to Port Everglades for distribution in South Florida. I read earlier today that gasoline reserves are now starting to stabilize in the area and supply is increasing to normal levels.

The website GasBuddy(dot)com is an excellent assist for finding gas and gas prices in regions where you want to travel.  In south Florida, prices can vary 10-15 cents per gallon when you cross a county line.

There's a Costco gas station in Davie, just off I-595. A few miles from the Port.
