New Plus vs Old Plus

Hey all.

When we booked our cruise, it was a year ago and the limit was $12 on drinks and says it included juices, smoothies etc.

Now, the new Plus has a $15 limit and includes "unlimited juice bar"

I am wondering if our plus package will be upped to rhe $15 limit and if the juice bar will still be usable on our plus or if we need to upgrade?

Our package was updated to the new drink prices ... check on the app (OceanReady>Folio Packages & Prizes) will show what the drink limits are

My app is showing I don’t have a package at all far less a limit! I think I’ll take a print of my confirmation with me for proof that I do have one once onboard.

I had that issue this morning.....was working fine yesterday...updated app and all is well again

On our April Cruise the Juice bar prices were $8 for most and $12 for a couple made with coconut milk. I think we got as much value out of the juice bar as we did the coffees. Be warned take a book when you place an order as it can be a long wait especially for the veg based ones. My favorite was a mix of the Booster and the Rejuvenator over ice. A great way to start the day.

Hi! This will be our 1st Princess cruise. We did purchase the Premier package and will be sailing in June.

Where do I confirm the package in the App? When I go to Folio under packages it says we don't have any. Is this the correct place to look for it?

Thanks

Yes but I think there’s an issue with the system as everyone’s seem to have vanished!

That’s my issue. I have read varying reviews with some getting the $15 limit minus the new extras and some reporting $12.

I also have premium for later in the year purchased at the old price as well.

Doesn't,t  seem much point in booking early if they just change the goal posts after you book. Looking at the bar menus the $12 limit now excludes quite a few of the things we might have ordered within the packages before and the wine choice looks dire.

As my account is not showing the package at all I’ll have to wait until I am onboard to check what the answer - for this week at least!

Yes.  Princess isn't known for it's consistency and this seems to vary from ship to ship.  It should not.  Sapphire still had the old menus in the MDR and Sabatini's so maybe its just her.

Then that's why the limit was still $12.  The hadn't yet repriced the drink menus so that drinks (especially lower end wine) that used to be at or near $12 are now at or near $15.

No, the drink prices had gone up.  Specialty drinks such as the Dirty Banana had gone up since my cruise at the beginning of February.  We did end up paying the difference on some drinks but mostly it was fine.

I went to the web archive to see what Princess advertised the day before I booked my June Island Princess cruise for which I paid $50 a day for Princess Plus.  The Plus beverage package was advertised as including "50 spirits, 25 wines by the glass, 25 beers, all specialty coffees & non- alcoholic drinks."  So not much help for a specialty drink, but if Princess had re-priced those 50 spirits, 25 wines by the glass, and 25 beers (especially spirits and wine) such that most are now $13-$15, without increasing the Plus limit to $15, one would have a very valid argument for breach of contract.

Speaking of which, I just printed out that webpage to bring on the cruise in the event prices have increased but the Plus allowance is still $12.

We’ve cruised on the Royal and Discovery since the new package pricing went into effect on Feb 20th  and the pricing we paid were from the old package pricing.

The drinks were limited to $15 on the plus and $20 on the premier rather than being limited to the old package pricing.

the ‘new items’ were the only things that were not included if you didn’t upgrade to the new pricing, which is available on the app.  These new items were the fitness classes and premium desserts and neither were missed.  The new items may also include the juice bar .. just can’t remember for sure.

Was on the Emerald in March old plus package and the drink limit was $15. None of the new items included. I have plus package on 7 upcoming cruises during 2023 and 2024. The app does not show any package. Not very concerned just printing out the travel summary to make sure. We often have to show the summary to the casino to get our casino cash
