Hows the weather in Nassau?

Nassau was hot. I saw somewhere that the high was 85 but it felt like 92.  It was overcast, which I liked so I didn't totally melt while walking around town. It didn't rain tho, so it was my kinda day. 🙂  Ocean Cay was the great beach day.  It was beautiful.

1 -How are the lounge chairs by the pool? Are the chair hogs up early reserving? Does MSC enforce any pool rules about lounges?

2 - Are there bar waiters walking around the pool area?

3- Is the casino crowded? I saw a report that said the casino was not big like other cruise lines.

Thanks!

1. The lounge chairs were typical lounge chairs. When I walked by the other day at about 10:30a almost all the chairs (except for one here and there) were claimed, a good portion were empty and there were only 2 or 3 people in the pool, so I'd say chair hogs. Didn't see any enforcement.

2. There were servers walking around the pool area.

3. The casino is small compared to others. When we passed thru in the early evening, I was surprised to see open slot machines. The tables we all full. It looked like the may have been setting up another one.

How is the dining service so far?

I've been pleased with the dinner service. We didn't do specialty restaurants,  but the main dining room was good. Our waiter and asst were both great. Kept our wine glasses full. Service was quick. We had a table for 2 at 5:30p.

I love the question/answer format of this, learning some interesting things!

How's the water temperature of the pools? Cold?

How long did the muster video take?

Did you try the formula 1 simulator car?

Didn't make it to the pool. May try today.

Muster video was maybe 5 minutes,  then you call a number to register that you watched it. Last you go find your muster station ( We were on 12 and muster station was on 7) so they can scan your card. Sooo much better than when we had to stand on the deck, piled in like sardines for 30 minutes waiting for everyone to get there!

Didn't try the simulator. Kinda wish I had, but I'd prolly just drive off the road and hit every car the whole time. 😅

How was the Welcome Back? Were there complimentary drinks? We are not buying the alcohol package, so trying to see where to get low price drinks. 😃  (First time sailing CHILD-FREE!!)

It was very nice. Yes, free drinks. MSC often offers free drink and wifi with your booking. Much cheaper than adding a pkg.

I just realized I have been spelling the ship's name wrong all this time! I changed in in my signature. Wish I could go back and change my title. I used to be such a good speller!  Lol!

They showed the NBA Playoff Game last night in the TV Studio and Bar, the Brass Anchor Pub and the Casino bar. They also have ESPN and ESPN 2 on the cabin TV.

espn carribean 1-2 is the feeds. websites like tvpassport has schedules but it may take a bit of google-fu.

The casino sells used playing cards for $1.

I think the cay doesn't have nearly enough seating. Almost like plastic chairs and sun loungers were lost in storms or broken and no one said we need to order a few hundred in the last few years.

Thank you for taking the time to answer all of our questions.  How was the embarkation in Brooklyn?  I have read that the disembarkation in Brooklyn can be chaotic if you are looking for private taxis or Uber.
