Haven’t been in a suite, but on Pride now- lots of new machines in the casino (bar was removed), smoking seems to be the same, port side (by Skybox/Heroes entrance) is smoking, starboard non

Unfortunately,  we aren't in a suite this time. Some new machines in casino but still super smokey.

Here's how smokey it gets -- I was in cabin 1187 (pre-drydock) which is starboard side below the non-smoking part of the casino and could very clearly smell the smoke one night.  Someone must have been winning, too, as it was quite loud at that time.  Other than that one instance, I never heard any noise from the casino, though.

Tom, we have an aft wrap suite on Deck 7 for next week out of Dover. I'll take photos. TBH, all I'm hoping for is an extra outlet or two.🙂

EXCELLENT - thanks !

Are you using that one for your Milestone benefit sailing?

Tom

Since we are in a “regular” balcony room….no.  We are using them on our Greenland Legend cruise in September.

Jimbo, I'll try to do my review as quickly as I can (hopefully before July 4). We're not back in the States until the 30th - after Pride, we're spending a few days in southern England, making our way to Southampton to join the QM2 for a WB Transatlantic.

Excellent, been trying to get my better half to do a TA on the QM II, so far to no avail.

Aft suite7298, enjoying very much! Fabulous balcony. I am spoiled for life. So quiet and the views are incredible. Tons of room and storage. Nice new tub in Bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Not one complaint.

Thanks for the photos, much appreciated. Not much has changed in those rooms. By any chance, can you comment on the smoke levels in the casino?

(great scenery there)

We love the Spirit class Vista suites.  I guess they didn't redo much in the cabin.  They removed the jacuzzi tub and replaced it with a regular tub. I'm sure that makes for easier maintenance.  I am too "old" for a tub anymore, lol.  I would have preferred a nice upgraded shower.  You just can't beat the view from those aft cabins.

We were very pleased with our suite-This was the number 2 reason I chose this ship, number 1 was the itinerary. This was our first Carnival Cruise. I must say that the ship looked like it was in good shape and I had no reason to worry beforehand. The staff were all wonderful and the passengers were among the nicest I have ever met.  We are Foodies and have no complaints about the included food and dining options. We always found something to our liking. We did do the specialty Chef's table which was wonderful and totally worth the cost and Farenheit 555 which was ok, but we would not do it again. The service was impeccable--the steaks just mediocre.  We are not super picky and never waste food, so we enjoyed the meal, but wouldn't pay extra for it again.  We absolutely loved Guy's Burgers and would sail again, just to have one!

This was our first time not doing the Drink package. I had a lot of anxiety about that decision, but it was unfounded. Europe allows you to bring booze onboard.  Instead of sitting in a bar all day/ we relaxed on our balcony with our own drinks/ Priceless.  I did try the bar drinks in the casino--at $15 for a plain mixed drink, I found it just wasn't worth it to me anymore.  Besides, it takes a long time to find a server.  If you are a heavy drinker, then the Cheers package would be worth it.  To me, it just depends on your personal preferences. All in all, Carnival exceeded my expectations-especially in the employees-all were so nice!

Seen it several times, hard to reach up and place the bets tho….

Well, if it's roulette, it doesn't matter anyway - just chunk some chips up in that general direction  😉

Any info about table minimums in the casino?  I prefer blackjack and craps.  Also, July 9th on the Pride will be my first Carnival cruise and we're going because it was "free" through a casino offer.  They cited "free drinks in the casino" and $100 credit, is there a casino bar?  Hoping to grab a drink sometimes and slip off for a show/etc but that will be harder if its only service at machines and tables.  Thanks!

Can't speak to the minimums, but the bar was removed from the casino, and the "free drinks" (unless it's "free drinks everywhere") are only for active players.
