Guaranteed cabin question

Although we've cruised before, we've never had a guaranteed cabin. Now looking at a European cruise in 2024, we may go that route. I know the basics of guaranteed cabins but can you get an upgrade even with this category?

Yes.  I've been upgraded from inside to obstructed outside.

Yes you can get an upgrade and you can always do a little upsell negotiating if you don’t like the assignment.   Also consider using Club Orange which when purchased automatically upgrades.

Just remember that with cruises now selling well, guarantees are a bit riskier than previously.  Be sure you are OK with the worst cabin in your category as you could get it.
