Well, we are off to an epic start.  I made my dad a packing list. Sent emails. Phoned him.
 

We get to the port and he doesn’t have his passport!!!

Oh no. What can you do now?

So I called the place where he lives and with my permission they sent someone up to his suite.  I am the person who organized my dad’s place when he moved in so I knew where the passport would be.

The front desk person just called and they found the passport…

 

My dad is now having an epic tantrum.

That's good re the passport, not so good re the tantrum. Hopefully that's the drama quota filled now and the rest of your trip passes uneventfully. 🙂

Hopefully you are onboard and starting to relax! I wish I had seen this earlier- you could have hung out at my place and waited.

We were a whirling dervish of meltdown!  I wouldn’t have wanted to bring that into your space!

 

We are good now. NCL had us flagged with a red alert for port assistance and we were whisked through the port and boarded the ship at 11:35.  We are now in Cagney’s and we both have beverages.

Our home away from home for the next two weeks

 

 

A quiet day at the port of Vancouver made for a smooth process at both customs and security.

 

First drinks onboard in Cagney’s: a beer for dad and a Painkiller for me. I ordered the drink for the name and wow is it delicious!

This is our suite. It’s similar to the forward facing penthouse we had on the Encore.

 

I was able to take a photo of the main bedroom right before my dad whipped the pillows off and tossed them away like a day old Freestyle Daily.

 

 

The couch will be my bed. Way comfier than the fold out couch in the back bedroom on the Jewel suites.

 

 

 

Teeny tiny balcony.  So teeny tiny. Who makes balconies this small??

So…all our dining reservations and 50% of our shore excursions are wrong.  Off to correct those.
