Chan50 Posted August 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Hi I was just looking to see if anyone had insight into how early Neptune suite guests can book dining, shows etc. on the Noordam? Thank you
CruiserBruce Posted August 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2023 On HAL (any ship), you don't need to book shows, and there is no system to book shows in advance. On HAL, (any ship), everyone (no priority to Suite pax) get to book the specialty restaurants at the same time...4-5 months prior to sailing.
Rare kazu Posted August 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2023 The Neptune Lounge concierge does have a few spots to get you into specialty dining some evenings on board. there is some priority for NS but only once you board. Pre-cruise as Cruiser Bruce said, we all book for specialty dining or shore excursions or the spa hydrotherapy pool and thermal suite if you want to book in advance.

Kiwifan56 Posted August 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2023 We were on the Noordam late last year and stayed in 7073 which was a Neptune suite. As it was our first time in this class we weren't really sure how things worked but our concierge was awesome and managed to book us in to the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto with no trouble. In saying that I don't think the ship was at maximum capacity so your results may vary. Enjoy the Noordam, she is a beautiful ship.
cruiser man 60 Posted August 18, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Do the specialty restaurants get fully booked in advance? And if you have dining credit under HIA and can’t get a booking what happens to credit?

If you don’t use your HIA credit, you lose it. You can book your specialty dining pre-cruise using your HIA credit with no problem (once the specialty dining opens up to book). You don’t have to wait until you are on board to book.
DaveOKC Posted August 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2023 I usually book specialty dining with a HIA package ahead of time, just to be safe. Then as soon as I board, I have the Neptune staff make any other bookings for me.
Mosaic Posted August 18, 2023 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2023 It used to be that NS guests could usually get or change a dinner reservation easily---for the most part. But since covid it is often NOT doable. It is defiantly a problem.

That's what we usually do and have already booked them for our December 2023 cruise. If there are dates that won't allow you to book it is probably because there is a special dinner on that night. Not all Neptune suites on the Noordam will look like this.

Yes, it is. In square footage it's actually a little smaller than standard Neptune Suites. But the lay out, and windows can make it look bigger. The Pinnacle class ships have a window to the right of the TV...the best feature, IMHO.
cccole Posted April 29 #15 Share Posted April 29 We were in an aft wrap on the Oosterdam and it appeared larger than the others, not because of windows. It was amazing. We have an aft wrap on the Noordam booked for 2026. The outside space is amazing, but I thought the inside space was also larger after having a standard Neptune suite on the Zuiderdam. Not much experience, but always happy. Cherie

Cherie We had an aft wrap NS for our first cruise to AK - that outside space really made the cruise. We still talk about it.
