Are you asking about specialty coffees, your title, or premium coffees?  Your question isn’t clear.

I'm specifically talking about Cafe El Bacio.  That was always included with the Classic package.  To me that is a premium coffee so according to their lists it wouldn't be included in the Classic.

Do you have a destinction between premium coffee and specialty coffee in regards to Celebrity?

Main is specialty are the ones with Alcohol, Some are included some are not in the classic but the basic Lattes, Cappuccinos etc are all included at Cafe Al Bacia if you have the classic drink package.

I checked from the USA at 12:44 pm EDT on August 28, 2023 and found that the list for the classic package shows

  • "Non-Alcohol: Non-premium bottled water, premium coffees and teas, and soda" after a list of the list of wines that are included.  Celebrity has one of the most confusing websites, often changing what is covered, how it is covered, how much it costs, you get the idea.  I have started making a copy of what I purchased, such as the list of the included beverages for the package and dating it then putting it with my cruise documents to take along.

Yes,  celebrity does make a distinction.  The general rule is that specialty coffees include alcohol

Premium = a drink containing espresso

Specialty = espresso + alcohol that is only covered by the premium package which are listed on the Coffee Cocktail page in the menu.

It was mentioned here this weekend that the comparison page is no longer on the website so I would be cautious saying with 100% certainty there are no changes coming.

OK this topic just scared the crap out of me. I tried to access Celebrity’s website to check out the “compare packages” that shows what is included in both the Classic and Premium beverage packages but it has been removed from their website. So I called Celebrity and have been assured that premium coffees are still included under the Classic package. The woman at Celebrity even included a special notation that our next cruise includes premium or specialty coffees under our Classic package.

Forgot to mention the woman at Celebrity also assured me I can still get my Pina Colada under the Classic beverage package which some people have also been disputing.

Pina coladas mixed drinks all depend on the alcohol used.  You will get any pina colada you want with the classic package alcohol brands, it's just rum pineapple and creamed coconut.  The coffees have not been removed from looking in my cruise planner, and really do not see that happening anytime.

I don’t know why people keep bringing up these issues only to be corrected like this every time. It’s so frustrating.

Social media, and the life of the internet, people just take everything for fact on line, Have to weed thru it slowly and takes time but alas it is what it is

The pina colada will NOT be a frozen drink, which isn't included in the classic package.

On the FAQ page for the classic package, frozen drinks are one of the few items to be named as available..

"The Classic Drink Package includes an incredible array of beers, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks, and wines by the glass for up to $10 per serving. This package also included a 15% discount on all wines by the bottle.".

https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/beverage-packages#:~:text=The Classic Drink Package includes, all wines by the bottle.

Hope this still to be the case as we do enjoy our Virgin Coladas in the casino.
