A note on the elevators. They are frustrating. Wait times have been fairly long, but never more than 5 mins or so. My keycard and wristband never worked for priority, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of having them reprogramed. Carly's would occasionally work. When scanned the display would read "VIP - Select floor". Once selected, it would tell you what elevator to get on. We never noticed any "priority" with this service. Even when being escorted off of the ship by a butler, the elevator still stopped at all of the floors, on the way down. As @morpheusofthesea noted in a review, by the end of the cruise, frustrations showed. There were several busted call pads that I noticed on the last couple of days.

They better fix this before I board Oct 15 or they’re going to be a 💩 storm rolling from YC deck🥸

Today is Ocho Rios. We have breakfast up at the pool deck and kill a little time until our excursion meeting time. Today, we are doing the Dunn's river fall tour that has sightseeing and lunch attached to it. There was a lot of standing around before getting on the bus, but the tour was definitely worth it, though the sightseeing was a little lame. The climb up the falls was longer than I remembered (I was 30 years younger), but it was not strenuous at all. A photographer follows your group up, and takes video and individual pics along the way.

Regarding Dunn’s waterfall. How long is the ride there from the pick up point and is it a nice ride or nasty bus service?   I was thinking of doing that excursion but that u drive a dune buggy to the waterfall area

I also refer to us as mere mortals.

Makes it easier...

Steerage class? Plebs? Peasants?

I find it simpler to just refer to them as my fellow cruisers.

It's not a long bus ride, and it's a nice air conditioned coach. I think the excursion you're referring to also involves the same type of bus, and it just takes you to the dune buggies and then the falls.

How long less than 30 minutes or more ?

Yeah I get crazy when dealing with long bus rides especially if they drive crazy and all.   I’m ok if it has AC and bathroom inside 😂

The brand name is "MED"

Never heard of it.  Why I asked is because someone on another social media outlet posted that they had Bulgari, but they did not indicate which ship.  I would die and go to heaven if there was Bulgari Shampoo and Shower Gel available.  Maybe I will just bring my own.  Nevertheless excited for my first MSC cruise in the Yacht Club.

Been on 2 prior YC cruises (out of Miami) and it always was MED…. Regardless you will still be spoiled. Enjoy!!

That's because it is MSC's proprietary fragrance. They had it created just for themselves. In addition to the toiletries, the fragrance is used in scented oil diffusers in some suites.

MSC has never had Bulgari products.  MED is their signature toiletries brand (as others have said).  Celebrity did, at one time, provide them in their suites.  Perhaps they’re being provided on MSC’s luxury line, Explora.   🤔

Since this thread is still active...

Are the signs in front of the dishes at the YC buffet just in English? One of the (/many) things that I hated when I sailed MSC in steerage back in 2018 was that the food signs at the regular buffet were in six languages, with print so small that you could not read them without getting up close (which of course is a challenge with long lines).  The pictures posted seem to be all English. Also, is there any way to get fresh pizza or mozzarella at the YC buffet, or do you have to leave the enclave?

I like "down", nice and soft.

The butler will be happy to show you the different types.

These forms, even though it's stated that they are for YC at the top, are not accurate.

There are no small bottles in the minibar anymore (not in CLs) they are 750 MLs and it's now 1 per sailing per room...unless you have a great butler and/or a royal or owner's suite.

So the minibar fill is always free?  I read somewhere that it’s only free the first time and when they refill then it’s no longer free?🤔

Canned/bottled soda, juice, flavored tea, water, and beer are restocked free.

Pringle cans, jars of nuts, and Toblerone chocolate bars are not free after the first serving.

Good to know but that’s weird especially if u want food brought to you room and any time that’s free but snacks from fridge aren’t is weird

The first snacks are free for the first one…Toblerone, nuts and Pringles. Everything that is non alcoholic in the fridge is replaced at no charge.

Thanks. Besides the two free bottles of alcohol that is included on first day I’ll tell the butler to only replenish redbull ginger ale and fancy water😎

As said, Med.  NCL had Bulgari for awhile but recently went to L'Occi.

@HutchaWhat brand are the toiletries in the yacht club suites on Seascape?

It is indeed Med. I liked it. I thought the bottled products were better than the dispensers they had mounted in the shower.

I'd say 30-40 mins, in the beginning, because that is the "tour" part. On the way back it's three 7-10 min rides to the different stops.

I think they are trying to avoid people stocking up on the packaged snacks and taking them home with them.

Should only be one bottle per cabin.
