One more question.  I could not find the answer on CC or on my TA website.  When looking at staterooms, the type of bed is listed in abbreviated terms.  One says TW, and another says TR.  I assume the T stands for Twin.  What do the other letters stand for?

I have never seen that.  Normally the bed(s) we have had have been the typical 80x200 beds and if you want a "king size" bed the two are put together to form one bed.  They are made in Italy and in fact are just like the ones we have at home...maybe even more comfortable.

TW two people, TR triple, both referring to maximum occupancy of the room.

Lyn - I am sorry to impose on your thread, but hope you do not mind and allow me to ask one more question.😊   Anyone can answer.

If DH and I make a booking without taking the O'Life, Simple Life or whatever the latest special option is, and just book a 'no thrills' stateroom, are the 4 specialty restaurants still included with our fare?  We have booked the last two Oceania cruises with O'Life, but for various reasons, do not think that the add-on's are worth the extra fare.

Bookings for all rooms include specialty dining.

All bookings include "Simply More".  No more "Olife Choice", unless you booked while it was offered.

Only choice now is "Simply More with Air" or "Simply More without Air"

We will all have to get used to the new program.  If new inclusions in "Simply More" are not to our liking, then we will choose another cruiseline.

The 2 (R) or 4 (O) specialty restaurants are still included with all fares.

Wondering if shore excursions desired is full how O will handle on SM plan

You pick something else, just like it’s been with Olife for years.

We went ahead and booked with an online travel agent.  One that we have used many times.

Booked without the Simply More.  We are not planning on going onshore with an excursion, so don't need $600 credit.  And since Oceania includes the non-alcoholic drinks in their pricing, we can pay for an occasional alcoholic drink when desired and still save money.  Although I would love having an Internet Package, we will go wireless while onboard.  Can pay $10 a day (if used) with a Verizon ad-on should we go ashore and find a place with WiFi.  Purchasing our air separately, or with points.  Saved $1200 pp on our cruise.

When did you book this cruise - before or after 01OCT 23?  If booked before 01OCT 23, you then still had the option of booking "cruise only". 2 WIFI accounts per room are included for all fares on sailings after 01OCT 23.

Booked just before I posted. It's a "Value Fare" and had to pay upfront.  The funny thing is that when I checked online with Oceania, it shows that we have $600 excursion credit.   We booked a B2, stateroom 8099, for a March 9th cruise (7 nights) on the Vista.  Cost was $1699 pp.

I bet if you check you also will have beverage package under amenities....the "online" agency just used a different name  but you have Simply More

I'd be very surprised for that rate!  It's advertised as being $1200pp more.  That's why we jumped on the deal with a lower cost.  For Oceania, our cost is fabulous compared to our usually cruiseline choices to the Caribbean (HAL and Celebrity).  Even better if it does happen to include Simply More. I'll go check and see if I can find "amenities" on my booking.  I don't remember seeing that.

Could it be an error in pricing?  Perhaps I should screenshot everything.

Again, Lyn, I am so sorry to take over your review.  😐

When on the Oceania website, did you check "no air" for the correct pricing on Simply More with no air?

I also booked the Vista for the March 9, 2024 cruise at an online site in the past few days and can confirm that the price was low as reported and it includes "Simply More."

I believe if you booked after July 1st  you  had to take SM

The SM program kicked in Oct 1st

So glad that you posted. We must have used the same TA site.  Sometimes they have group bookings for less than what the cruiseline is selling the stateroom for. I noticed lots of availability for our cruise on their site.  We had been wanting to try Oceania again, but every time that I have checked rates, they were way higher compared to other cruiselines.  The online TA site sent out an email on Friday that featured our cruise for what we thought was a reasonable amount.  Yet, when going further into the booking, the rate was even less!

I still see nothing about my booking being "Simply More."   I did not see anything about amenities.  My TA confirmation doesn't say anything about any of it, including a $600 shore-ex credit.  That may come in a separate email as they were closed over the weekend.

BTW- I found a Roll Call for the cruise.  I plan to join it when I am sure this cruise in on.  See HERE.

Thank you all, again!

Maybe geo-located offer or perhaps based on your login. Not logged in I see only SM listed under Special Offer and a B2 under the "PROMOTIONAL FARE W/O AIRFARE " column is CAD$3949. No Value Fare offers on O's site displayed.

This came from our TA so perhaps you need to contact your TA but the pricing is available for all

I took that to mean you saw the $1700 price on O's site and is available to anyone. Not from a TA's site. I posted to just say it is not displayed for me (as an anyone) so guessing you saw that offer because you were logged in or it likes your cookies. No soup for me is all.

I don't normally use O's site for shopping for a cruise as the UX design is not well suited to browsing. I use some TA sites that of course display more than just O and get distracted (other shiny things). So I checked one of the TAs and do see that price.

I looked as I was only curious on the offer but not interested in a 7 day out of Miami through am interested in trying Vista (despite no Jacques.)

All good.

I checked again on Oceania site and the offer is still $2899/$3499 w/air.  I am logged in.

Anyway, I feel that we are getting a good fare for an Oceania cruise, on a brand new ship at that!!!  Plus we get some extra OBC from our online TA.  I looked back at my records, and we took a 7 night cruise in a B3 in 2017.  The cost was over $2100pp++ without air.  This cruise will hopefully be a nice, relaxing, getaway.  We were not planning on getting off of the ship.  With excursions included, I guess we will get off a couple of stops.

Does anyone know if the excursion credit can be used for a tour/transfer back to the airport after the cruise?  We are not getting air through Oceania. We would rather control our own air and pay the same $600pp (hopefully less) direct to the airline and be in control versus paying Oceania to arrange it.
