Why are drink package different price on different cruises

I would love to know why drink packages are different price for different cruise , 

Both cruise are TA, both start from the EU 

Nov 2023 Conny TA Classic package is $121.89 CAD per day with 20% off $97.51 CAD

Nov 2024 Equinox TA Classic package is $99. 96 CAD per day with 20% off $79.97 CAD 

Is there any reason for this ?

It’s a sale.  These flash sales don’t apply to every sailing and  may only be for drink packages or package upgrades, or just for some  excursions.  Some last a very short time others for days.  

The pricing isn’t consistent across ships or sailing.  I used to see that with drink packages on Royal and  found it irritating .  If pre cruise sales are lacking in a particular area on some ships a sale appears

There have been others reporting that higher base prices for premium and classic packages remained the same for November 2023 cruises but were lower for December 2023 and later cruises. No change in the zero proof package price.  This is above and beyond the different % offered for different cruises.

We got the 53% discount for next year’s Australia cruise and Alaska cruise but not for our Spain and Portugal cruise in 12 days time.

But why isnt base price the same  across the board , one cruise base price $99.96CAD and another cruise it is $121.96CAD

Same reason not every hotel, airline ticket, concert ticket etc. is not the same price. They fluctuate based on demand. Not selling well? Drop the price. Selling like crazy? Raise the price. Supply and demand.

See post #6.  One of the reasons we stopped sailing Royal Caribbean.

The short answer is: because they can. It's priced where they project they will maximize revenue based on balancing the price of the package vs price sensitivity of the guests.

The same for WiFi, it's more expensive in shorter cruises

My guess would be, If you go look for the drink pkge for TA 2024 in 2024 closer to the cruise date prices go up.Or perhaps they secured a different supplier and can offer it cheaper.Prices for 2023 might have been more. Also the exchange rate right now is horrendous.
