They are both located in the same area (deck 15 aft), but Horizon Court is slightly larger and usually a little busier. Café Caribe is further aft but still connected to Horizon Court buffet. CC is a bit smaller and opens up to the aft deck terrace.

Thanks for the information.  I know DD and SIL like to dine on the "back porch" so we may be trying the Caribe Cafe.

Our first sailing on Princess was Royal Princess to Alaska 2 month ago, and it may have mistakenly set my bar too high. I've been reading all the MDR responses and, honestly, disappointed. But we won't let it spoil the vacation we have on Ruby in January. Forewarned is forearmed.

I'll be getting off the Ruby December 30 and will be writing a photo/video review  starting Jan 1 so you'll get an even more updated report on the food and service. My last Princess was the Diamond's Christmas cruise to Mexico and the MDR food and service was a let-down. Since then I've sailed on Celebrity Apex where it was very impressive indeed.

The PES lounge is being held in Club Fusion….when did they move it away from Skywalkers? (Sigh)

BUMMER.  I like it in Skywalkers.  It is very cool to be able to enjoy the lounge and see the out all those windows.  Although Club Fusion is better than the Wheelhouse Bar where they held it on one cruise.

We have been told that before as well. Just comes down to poor training and lazy bartender. We spoke to the bar manager and it was straightened out in 5 minutes

How do you get in touch with the bar manager?

We had 7:00 pm dinner reservations. Waited about five minutes to be seated. Service was slow though. I’m chalking that up to first night issues. We’ll see how things go as the cruise progresses.

Some wine options.

I thought that the current wine list for plus just listed the varietal and price. Good to see some more details.

We are also aboard this cruise and so far, I’m really enjoying the vegan menu.
Last night was French potato salad with dijon, eggless tomato pasta (not sure who Norma is), and a curried cabbage that didn’t look that attractive but was outstanding!

Can anyone ask for this menu?

So after the Maître called me yesterday about my comments left on the feedback form a out the long waiting lines at one of the dinning rooms the chef called in the late afternoon hours about my feedback of lack of variety at breakfast.

he clearly mention that it’s out of his hands as the menu is done at corporate (which I know) and of course all feedback will be passed on

but love how they take the feedback forms serious, so def fill out the form. Never received any sort of follow up after any feedback form

We had a great (!) dining room experience tonight. Our nightly reservation is at 7 pm but before tonight we’ve waited 20-30 minutes to be seated.

We arrived at 6:50 pm and waited less than two minutes. We really liked our table and our service team so I spoke to the restaurant manager and requested that table for the rest of the cruise. We said we’d be willing to change times if that would help, but he said 7 pm would work fine.

Which dining room?

Tonight’s vegan menu in Botticelli…

Short review….the tofu was all right, but skip the flavourless mushroom bourguignon - it was served in a tomato sauce strangely reminiscent of last night’s pasta sauce. But with something like mashed potatoes on top….

I have mentioned this in previous post I was on a b2b2b2b same table for all sailings. After the first sailing my waiter in the dining room thanked me for my great review he had already received and read  I told him few more weeks of those to come Lol

Yes. The library is on deck 7 just outside of the Wheelhouse Bar. I’ll try to remember to stop by and check about donating books.

Wife always takes a few books to donate on every cruise we do. Unfortunately, some of the newer ships don't have libraries.

After our big lobster lunch, neither of us was very hungry for dinner.

We both decided to try the coconut, orange, and shaved fennel salad.

And the fettuccine Alfredo (with some grilled chicken).

Mark tried the banana dessert. I don’t think the word “crusty” sound like an appetizing descriptor.

He said it was good though.

I decided to try one of the after-dinner coffees.

how was the music and dance floor (or should I say deck)?

Last night was Big Band Era, so lots of brass and pretty loud with not a lot of dancing. Tonight we have the Strings Duo and, later, a steel pan player and acoustic guitar. There are quite a few different options for different styles of music. We have seen the most people on the dance floor in Club Fusion.
