Any news when other 2026 itineraries will be released

I can only guess on the itineraries for Alaska & Australia, as the ships are largely based between the two regions. The Alaskan season for 2025 was announced in August, so it could be a bit of a wait for 2026 dates. I don't take a lot of notice for the other regions, except to note the releases are phased through the year.

World Cruise Itinerary looks boring. I read more in detail but seems like same same but cost you more.

It is an extra year of inflation for them to factor in. 2025 looked dearer when we booked it than it does today.

We were 100% sure we’d be switching to the 2026 WC and then….we saw the itinerary.  Not our cup of tea at all.  Sticking with 2025.

Okay. The new programme of sailings open today for Elite. So I put a couple of holds on some cruises out of Australia. I wanted to put a hold on the cruise on the Discovery Princess but I couldn't find anything I like.

At the moment I have holds on the following:

Grand Princess 37 day South Pacfic/Hawaii, Taihiti and what makes it more interesting they threw in stops in Norfolk Island, Samoa and Tonga.  Oct 16 2025

11 Day PNG Cruise Grand Princess 24 March 2026

Did anyone else put holds on or book anything from today release.

We did Sarah, put a hold on Japan to Singapore as like the Japanese ports, and we love Vietnam and Hong Kong.

We just have to suck it up and fly a bit as don't have enough leave during the year for all the seas days. Already done Beijing to Alaska and few repositionings from Singapore, with another next year.

Got a hold on a obstructed balcony, had the deluxe obstructed on Majestic but don't need the sofa, plus they have blocked all the deluxe obstructed unless you book for 3 persons. There are some very large balconies with no obstruction, unless looking down 😉

Haven't done Princess since 2020 Ruby/ Majestic saga!!

We looked at the relocation on Discovery, but the extra days and duplicate ports around Singapore were a deterrent. Not to be too ambitious, but we do have 1/2 world cruise ending only a couple of months prior, and it also looks like a bunch of "old friends" might be going retro with a group cruise to PNG in November 2025. That pretty much resigns us to looking for a shortie on Discovery for the 25/26 season, so I just have a hold on 12th March.

Will let you know how the view is down the other end Geoff, we booked an aft suite Sing-Syd

We like the aft, and have done a few over the years. Absolutely awesome!!. I was going to go for a convenient Penthouse next door to the lounge, but have wanted to try a forward view for ages. A bit of extra walking should be worth it for the view.

You will have to give us the goss on the concierge, so we can have them worked out by the time we board. We had a great time in the lounge on Majestic early this month. Still a slim chance we might be able to add Singapore to Sydney down the track, but have to tick lots of boxes first.

Filled in 'enquiry/interest' form for Grand Princess Syd-Hawaii-Syd 37N in Oct '25 when the emails came out. Had a missed call from our planner yesterday & today received an email with booking for the cruise with 10% deposit required by 15Dec. BB mid balcony on Baja deck.

Off on Brilliance tomorrow, so will have to give it some thought. Sth Pacific, Hawaii, Tahiti, Tonga & NI sounds pretty good 🙂

I was considering the Brisbane to Fremantle leg of the circumnavigation for an anniversary trip, but it's so late in the year I think it will be just too hot to enjoy the port visits 🙁

When the time comes late next year, I will try to get the details of the concierge so that we can get our 360 booked in ahead of boarding.

I guess this has filtered through to most by now, as it certainly wasn't announced via a PR release.

When it was first announced, 360 dining was purely an invite dining option, available to full suites, casino high rollers, most cruised and social media inflooencers. More recently, it has been made available for booking as well.

To my surprise last week, I read that 360 was no longer going to be doing invitations to suites, and it was only available for a PP booking charge. Further digging led to a confirmation that all suite bookings made from 1st December 2023 onwards would no longer be entitled to a 360 invite.

By some stroke of luck, our booking confirmation was on 30th November. For anyone looking to book a suite on Discovery, the 360 dining is no longer an included perk. They continue to chop & change and hopefully they will work it all out one day. You can check whether you have the 360 as part of your suite by checking the travel summary. 360 will be listed if you have snagged it.

We initially booked as standard but are changing to plus. It is a hedge of sorts, with an expectation that by the time Discovery Princess arrives here, the prices could be anything. If we find we can still get better value with standard, we will cancel the plus package just prior to final payment.

Yes it has been removed from ours as we were rebooked while we were onboard the Grand a fortnight ago. Upside is we have an extra $600 OBC to offset the cost 😉

Which is actually what causes inflation.  Expectations.

That is part of it. Add-in demand exceeding supply, which drives up the price of commodities, which flows on to everything else. Expectations are just in trying to accurately predict how that sits, already knowing that some of their fixed costs will be more expensive.

In my comment from 2 months ago, it was an observation in reverse. When we booked early in 2023, it looked expensive. Several months on after inflation had been occurring, it looks less expensive than it did. By the time we board in mid 2025, the expectation would be that it is probably a fair price. The equivalent cruise in 2026 is more expensive again, so another cycle of the above would appear to be factored in to expectations.
