BuddyR Posted November 29, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2023 I am boarding the Onward tomorrow. Has the Patio been open for lunch recently on embarkation day? Also, are any people boarding before the 1:30-2:00 time period listed on the website?
Scots Caz Posted November 29, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2023 Windows for lunch on boarding day. Last trip (this month) boarding started for Priority @ 1:30pm...there have been reports of boarding as early as 12:30 on occasion but this seemed an exception,
Grandma Cruising Posted November 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2023 No lunchtime service at the Patio on embarkation day on Journey on 20 Nov cruise
excitedofharpenden Posted November 30, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2023 I don't think I've ever seen the Patio open for lunch on embarkation day. It's a major throughput and with people and their hand luggage passing through, not practical. Phil
Rare terry&mike Posted November 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Interestingly, there is a sign posted on Quest this morning ‘Due to technical issue The Patio is closed until further notice’.

I’ve also often not seen it open on the evening of Day 1 but I suspect as reported this varies from cruise to cruise and may also be down to hotel director preference and whether it’s a large staff turnover day or not

The sign was up to prevent through traffic on the day of the BBQ on deck - all of the food and the barbecue itself were located in the Patio area. The notice was removed as soon as the area was cleared
