alphawave1 Posted January 2 #1 Share Posted January 2 Ok, week after next starts B2B cruise with my sister. Our first, so pardon the dumb questions. We have reserved close in parking to Galveston RCCI port. Can we get off ship, change out dirty clothes for clean ones that we have stored in car? Do we have to wait to get back on ship? We are Jr suite, Diamonds (160points, lol). Is there an area for breakfast for B2Bers?
SilkySal Posted January 2 #2 Share Posted January 2 (edited) For a B2B, you will be escorted off of the ship last and then first back on; however, if you want to leave the ship before you are escorted off, to get fresh clothes, you will need to get an "in transit" card from GS; I don't believe that you will need to wait to get back on the ship when you return. On the ships we've been on for B2B, we were served a complimentary lunch for our group in the MDR. Breakfast is for everybody in the MDR before passengers get off. Hope this helps! We love doing B2B's; easy peasy! Edited January 2 by SilkySal add

No special place for breakfast but often lunch in the mdr. You'll get a letter a couple of days in advance with instructions. If you get off you'll get an intransit pass to be able to get back on, though not sure on timing.

firefly333 Posted January 2 #5 Share Posted January 2 The b2b lunch seems to always have short ribs. One of my favorites. We got our cards for the next leg while in the conference room last time on harmony. The theater the week before. Card and a in transit card. The in transit so you dont have to go back thru the boarding again.
pcur Posted January 2 #6 Share Posted January 2 My experience with the b2b process is when you get to the meeting place on the ship and check-in for the next cruise, you ask the crew member to give you an "in transit" card with your new seapass card. I don't think it's necessary to go to Guest Services for it.

Rare Rogueperson Posted January 2 #8 Share Posted January 2 When I was on Adventure for my B2B in 2022, our lunch was shared with the Key lunch. We had the same menus and were able to eat with friends coming aboard who had the Key.
neverbeenhere Posted January 2 #9 Share Posted January 2 3 ways to leave the ship(if you want to return) during a back to back. You can leave the ship as the first people, then return and re-embark. (better have all docs and passport) You can go to guest services prior to the B2B meeting(about the hour prior) and get your new card and in-transit pass. Then leave the ship. Return when the other passengers are being allowed on. The in-transit card gets you by everything except security. You can meet up at the B2B meeting, go through the process. Then leave the ship. Again you need to wait until they are letting on passenger before you return.

I was on b2b cruises several times between mid-November and mid-December 2023, and we did not receive our new seapass cards until after we were cleared by immigration, and started back to the ship again. Then, we had our choice of coming back on the ship or leaving.

We've had several where we tapped out, given new cards, tapped back in. Usually done in a lounge. Depends on immigration officers. You can leave earlier. In that case speak with GS the day or 2 before to make arrangements to get intransit card and new seapass card.

You can of course do what you wish, but wouldn't be easier just to bring all your stuff with you on the first cruise? That way you have everything and you can relax on turn around day. Mum2Mercury Posted January 3 #14 Share Posted January 3 Random thoughts: - About the clothes: I think I'd bring all my clothes onboard during the initial boarding ... and then, at the half-way point, return one suitcase to the car. One suitcase'd be easy to tote out to the car, then you'd have less to carry off when you actually disembark. - Breakfast on the last day is just the same as other cruise days ... except that they open earlier and people are a little more serious /eat faster and get out. - I've had the short ribs in the MDR. They ARE one of the best entrees.
