Don’t want the Platium Bar Set Up

Hi..I am ELITE

   and don’t need the Mini Bar Set Up

 

???has anyone tried to get OBC..for it

 

  (I would maybe prefer a Specialty Dinner

instead)

Fortunately for you, there is no mini-bar set-up for Platinum. So, non-issue 

 

However, should you make Elite, you can trade all for a bottle of wine, or trade like for like or all for water or soda, etc.

Platinum Captains Circle benefits do not include mini bar setup. You need to be elite or in a full suite to get that. So if you are platinum you don’t need to ever think about your choices

You can trade for all sodas or waters, or combination of the two or one bottle of wine. You can provide all or parts to friends you meet on board. You can trade for a bottle of wine and then offer that wine to the cabin steward as a gift. You can ask the cabin steward to remove all of the mini bar. These are some suggestions. You can not receive OBC, nor can you receive a specialty dinner for the mini bar. Those options do not exist.

Used to be able to trade for a coffee card (package). That went away.

When you don't drink alcohol or soda (at least the ones on offer) and consider tap water acceptable...

We have a shelf that has too much bottled water and another shelf with tiny bottles of booze. Don't need any more.

Nope.  No other options.   You can always give it away while on board.
