Getting to Cork from ship terminal

Recommended Posts

We've been to Cobh a couple of times & took excursions. We'll be there in June & would like to do Cork on our own. Any recommendations for getting to Cork from the ship? Tia.

There is a direct train that runs every 30 mins to Cork

If I remember correctly the rail terminal in Cork is a good walk to town center.

20 minutes.  Walk straight along McCurtain Street, and turn left down over St Patrick's Bridge and into St. Patrick's Street.

Take the train which is literally sitting at the pier in Cobh.  Comes every 30 minutes.  Easy peasy.   A 10 minute walk to the city centre from the train station.  You could also go to Blarney from Cork by city bus. Real cheap.  4 euros return for the bus. I seem to remember the bus would be Number 215. But Google maps would tell you.
