jinpasco Posted January 21 #1 Share Posted January 21 I have checked the website and the FAQ ' s. We are not familiar with the rule and think it may have different rules for different sales promos. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We have military , stock and AARP. I didn't even know AARP gave us credits until after we booked.
glorialagos Posted January 21 #2 Share Posted January 21 Mine is currently showing the teacher's, AARP, Carnival stock and a small TA onboard credit. I board in two weeks so we will see but it appears that at least those four are stackable. I sure won't complain!!! Our HIA did not include gratuities this time so a nice portion of my OBC will go to pay that.

We just sent in stock request on Friday. Lets see if the new system accepts it. Thank you
Rare kazu Posted January 21 #4 Share Posted January 21 My understanding is that the AARP and teachers/military are not stackable. You can only have one. However, as long as you are a couple, the teacher/military person can take that OBC and the other party be the AARP member and recipient. In that way, you get all the OBC. CCL stock is certainly stackable with either.

However, it is not a casino or an otherwise "free cabin" cruise.

First rep said no to stock as we had military. We put in stock information on the app anyway on Friday and waiting to see what happens. We leave in March . ORTravelGal Posted January 21 #7 Share Posted January 21 My mom has AARP, teachers & stockholder OBC all on one reservation in a room by herself. All three are showing up on her documents from her TA & HAL and have been confirmed on a phone call with HAL. 1
DCThunder Posted January 21 #8 Share Posted January 21 Pardon my ignorance, but how do you get an AARP OBC? I have SH and am not a teacher or a vet, but I did (reluctantly) join AARP, so I'd like to get something that's due to me.

Its kind of hidden if you don't sail with them often ( like us). We had to fight a bit to get it because we booked on a Sunday and put the info in on Monday and they said it has to be verified before you book. Well, why would you put in for discounts with a line when you don't know IF you are going to book with them. Our TA went to bat for us and got it posted. DCThunder Posted January 21 #12 Share Posted January 21 (edited) I guess I can't apply the credit retroactively to a booking made months ago. Edited January 21 by DCThunder

Mommabear44 Posted June 23 #14 Share Posted June 23 I came here looking for shareholders information and wow found out about AARP and nursing OBC. Since I am already booked, I will try to have it added but they both said future bookings. My question is, do we need to do this linking once and it is on our account for years or so we need to link every year? I will be retiring at some point (I hope) and just curious if anyone knows. SilvertoGold Posted June 23 #16 Share Posted June 23 We like that we do not have any trouble lately with booking with basic OBCs such as FCC, VPM and any on-the-website-mentioned promo OBCs. Used to be the TA would say HALwouldn't allow some of these together on the same booking!
