Curious as to how you find out the odds on Video Poker or any Slot Machine?   Just curious.

There are sites such as WizardofOdds.

https://wizardofodds.com/games/

If you go to that site he has the odds and strategies for just about every game.  I have been following him for years. There is one section where you can plug in the payoff for the various VP games and get the odds.

Another site is video poker.com

https://www.videopoker.com/apps/

you can play, enter contests and etc.   it is free but if you become a member for a small fee you get some premium benefits.

@miched   Interesting site -  What I was trying to understand is how @fstuff1 new what the odds were on Celebrity Ships vs NCL.     The subject included the odds -

I'm not a gambler but enjoy statistics.    To be honest I don't even know what a 7/5 JoB is.

If you look at the sites mentioned it will show what the payoffs are for the machines.    JOB ( jacks or better) 9/6 means that that you get paid 9 for 1 on the full house and 6 for 1 on the flush.   That is how the payoffs are referred to.  Look at the payoff tables for each game and look at the tables.   On the sites I referred to you can enter the payoffs for the games and it will calculate the odds for the correct play.  Naturally someone can play totally against what is considered the correct play and win a bigger payoff.  I seen a player with a pat full house.  Aces and kings.  They kept an ace of hearts and king of hearts and hit a royal flush.

if you want to have a chance of winning you need to study the games and practice playing on the free sites.

Regular slots are basically pure luck but there is a little strategy involved.  VP is luck and strategy.

Yes, Celebrity has the poorest odds in slot play on the sea. There Blue Chip Program had declined in the past 2 months since joining the Casino Royal program with RCL.

I have seen 7-5 Bonus Poker on Princess but I have never ever seen anything even that good on X.  Even for a dollar (X 5 bets) recently I have only seen 6-5 Jacks or Better which is a miserable 95%.  I found a a slightly better dueces wild game buried in a three play/ ultimate X type game but very hidden.  I still play but I think the miserable black jack game paying 6 for 5 is better odds than the video poker.  All this said the slot machines are probably under 90% but there is no way to know that.  Craps is the only game they can't mess with in the Casino and non-smoking counts for a lot.

I've looked at all the deuces wild games (ult x, stp, non-gimmick versions) and all are lousy 10/8 versions.

Note: My ship (silhouette) only has All Star II machines
