What is with the obsession with cookies on these boards?

Some claimed they didn't have cookies.  There are cookies, but it's become a sort of game to find out where they are.

I'll add that there are cookies in the Casino. too.

The cookies thing cracks me up-- never something I look for or eat on a cruise.

Same for the bowls of M&Ms or gummy bears etc offered in Haven that people ask about or post pics... Just not what I'd want for snacking.

Cruising offers so many choices and there is always something for everyone. 🍇

depends.

there are certainly supposed to be tasty treats throughout the day in the casino. most casinos have a little tiny buffet area, at which pastries are available from early morning though mid-afternoon, followed by finger sandwiches and, late in the evening, hors d'oeuvres, followed by desserts, including cookies. its supposed to be discreet and meant for players, but anybody can, theoretically, take part.

they had all this on the prima last may/june (located in the VIP room), they had it on the joy last october, but they never once put a spread out on the getaway this past january/february. the buffet area remained empty the entire journey.

i guess they tossed their cookies (along with everything else.)

Had cookies on the Prima outside of CoCos and again in the Casino 5 weeks ago.

So excited goi g in dec from ny cabin 12154. Hope its good. Did bibe gave umbrellas for shade. Booked it and spa. Hope you r having a healthy and fun cruise

Yes vibe provides umbrellas and will help you position the umbrella.  Vibe also has an area with tables and chairs.  We ate our lunch there daily.  The outdoor grill/buffet is literally just steps away.  It is quiet.  Great place to relax and read a book. No screaming kids.

Can't say enough good things about the vibe on Prima.  If you have not already done so there are several good utube videos that will give you a sneak peek of the Prima vibe.  Enjoy.

well, actually, no, that specific question isn't answered by the linked FAQ.

the poster would like to know, upon boarding the prima, where to head to make in-person reservations on embarkation day. it varies from ship to ship. if i recall, on the prima, it is set up on the lowest level of the theater/dance club (all the seats will have been removed).

you are most welcome.

i'm pretty much universally adored on CC for my ability to listen and understand and respond appropriately to questions others treat with contempt and disdain. i can't imagine curmudgeonly cruise critics could ever find fault with my crystal clear, concise and comprehensible comments.

Thank you for Info. Which special restaurent did you enjoy going to make reservations with ppc in few mo.

To our surprise we thought Los Lobos was the best of the three we tried.  We both had the table prepped quac, cheese fondue, wife had carne asada, I had the spicy white fish.  Everything including service was wondeful.  Plenty of chips and  hot sauce.

We also dined at Cagneys and Palomar. Cagneys was great as usual.  Palomar was a disappointment for us and would not recommend.

Sorry to bother, but does the buffet have the station where someone makes an omelet with what you want in it? (So far, none of the Youtube videos have shown this.)

Yes, there is an omelette station in the buffet.  They usually have about a half-dozen of the more popular ingredients, such as ham, cheese, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, etc.  You can have them mix or match to your taste.

We'll be sailing on the Prima on the 5th of April and had the same question. I asked it in another thread but didn't get a response. Anyway thanks for your response but I couldn't be more confused. I have read different posts all with different answers. I then called NCL and they were less than helpful, suggesting I go to the restaurants after 5 PM or call from my room. Right, both of those would yield absolutely nothing, one being too late and the other waiting on hold or busy forever. I hope your recollection is correct. Thanks again.

There is definitely an omelet station in the buffet at breakfast. There are a limited number of items you can select, but you should be able to get an omelet unless you want something really strange.

actually, this is a pro tip.

and few people realize it can be done.

calling room service for restaurant reservations (or changes to your reservation) usually results in a quick and painless experience. "restaurant reservations" is not always printed next to a button on the phone, and i suppose there are some ships on which this may not work, but i have had always had great success calling room service to book or amend my dining reservations. it doesn't work early on embarkation day because they don't begin answering until after rooms are ready late in the afternoon. but you can definitely book by phone. (i wouldn't advise calling at dinner time, because they you'll likely have to wait a few minutes.)

showing up at the restaurant on any given day also works, provided you have flexibility with your dining time. while they can help you book for other days, if not busy, their primary concern after 5 pm is the queue of diners waiting to enter the restaurant at that time.

so, it's best to go to the theatre on embarkation day. if for some reason, those reservations are no longer being made in the theatre, there will be another designated spot where they are.

I might have missed it, but is there a reason you are waiting till you get on the ship?  You can book ahead of time from website or app.   The people you are competing with for reservations at busy restaurants are getting the drop on you.

You can also make reservations from the interactive monitors near the elevators and stairs, just need your keycard to swipe.  Reservations can also be made from your cabin TV.  Since you may not immediately have access to your cabin, and lines become long on boarding day, your best bet is to do it yourself at one of the touchscreens.

pre-board reservations are limited and best times are taken.  Additional availability open up aboard.

Edited to add: Oh and do they have real dairy half and half? (Like Cloud House or something). When I go, I need to know if I have to drag boxes of Land O Lakes Mini Moos aboard.

No bother. There were 2 omelet stations at the buffet.
