So in the video it mentions that Crooners is going to become the elite lounge. What does it mean and how will it work?

Not going to happen, according to the staff member I asked in the elite lounge on 17 tonight.

Captain said it was because they were still finalising the shoreside tendering operation so hopefully just for the current cruise.

The cable car is undergoing winter maintenance, and won’t be open in time.

So the Santorini cable car website is incorrect and it would be still out of action on the 16th when you were due to dock?

With only a day to spare, perhaps PCL HQ realizes by now things can run behind schedule.

I hope for our August cruise they make the second sitting 8.15 pm, as 7.30 pm is a bit too early for us during the long summer days.

That can easily be resolved by booking 815 for each evening on deck 7 ahead of time, in case there are no adjustments once the seasons change.

That's one good reason to book when schools are in session,

Doesn't really matter.  This generation of parents think nothing about the ramifications of taking their little darlings out of school for a week or two.

Video showing how Umai Hot Pot works.

Obviously not a typical experience - what would happen with multiple people on the same table sharing broths and mixing up vegetarian/seafood/meat?

For me, I can see a row of the white plastic hard chairs on either side of the pool with padded loungers in the back, behind them.  Around 2:31-2:33 and 2:39, can see other side and there are padded loungers.  Appear to be doubles on the one side at least.

The other video shows the hard plastic chairs nearest the pool on one side only.  I'd say it's a rearrangement of furniture.  No doubt some guests where asking for a re-arrangement and wanted to be near the pool in a soft lounger versus the stylistic hard ones.

Have no idea what you’re referring to. I looked at those times you mentioned and there are no padded loungers to be seen. There are the large sun beds closest to the person videoing and then another row of sun beds on the other side of the pool in the distance, then there are the hard white plastic seats all around and then a little further away you can see some standard loungers with head rests.

The Points Guy has posted an early review of Sun Princess with some honest views. Mentions Spellbound will debuting on Wednesday - it's being tested.

Thanks for sharing-I follow the Points Guy and he is usually on point. I have to admit I was a bit concerned about his uninspired comments on suite section but I am sure we will be seeing a flood of new info on these.

She said that you got to choose your broths.  Obviously the broths are for the members of your party.  If it was communal and someone had a seafood allergy, well...

I think Princess and suites is an evolving process. They’ve always been a few steps behind the other cruise lines when it comes to

suites. I imagine that in any ships after Star we will see the suites evolve further and improve. I like the direction they’re headed though.

Quick question. Does anyone know how you can hide or block a specific YouTube channel? Everytime I do a search on Sun Princess content I get this annoying cruise channel pushed into my search results with content that has nothing to do with my search. It’s really frustrating.

Any comments on ordering drinks in the casino? Without a bar in the casino; it seems to me that options are limited for reliable service other than leaving your machine or table.

Agree it is way too soon to form any conclusions on suites or service and many changes are likely. The initial concern would only be focused on 'space' allocation ie. Sanctuary suite space looks relatively small and reference was made to two story lounge but the pic of the lounge in article looks relatively plain and decidely one story. Otherwise some very interesting spaces on board most of which haven't even started operation (sounds like being an early cruiser on Sun was not ideal).

Rooting for good execution from Princess since the market needs more 'reasonable' suite options.

Very typical. One pot per couple, however. Or family group. The broth is on boil, which did not seem adequately demonstrated.

I consider the entire Sanctuary to be a suite space. I think it will be highly utilized by suite guests during nice weather cruises and there will be few paying guests that will get access and that will likely only be on port days. I wouldn’t be surprised if they phase out the paid option later this year and make it a suites exclusive space.

That is my opinion also posted earlier ie. I think the Sanctuary will disappear as a paid 'public' venue.  A shame in a way because the nice sized pool would be a great add on to the 'traditional' sanctuary.

The only reason we are interested in suites is a less congested pool option with a bar and a quieter dining area. A lounge can be nice also but not a big deal unless it is like on MSC YC with a large beautiful space and nightly entertainment.
