TravelGirlinDallas Posted March 18 #1083 Share Posted March 18 Just flew back from DC on SWA yesterday and got caught up on your review. I thought we’d be stuck at the airport all day yesterday due to the storms at DAL but somehow we made it home on time. Sure hope you get to board soon and that the rest of your journey is uneventful. 2

Listen, I appreciate a good plan B joke, so no judgement here. Once I accompanied a coworker to meet the delivery driver who dropped off plan b and a Gatorade to our office lobby. She didn’t want to go alone. 🫣😂😂 #TrueStory

I'm with you but don't count on my JuJu, I have to save that for the casino so I can take extra cruises not in the budget. But I'm there in spirit 😁 2

Can the airline keep kicking the can or is there a point that they have to pony up money? Sorry this is happening. Recently I learned that a flight can be delayed to the next morning if necessary. After a decades-long run of no cancelled flights or crazy long delays, I've had two trips in a row that required an unplanned overnight stay. Once due to a plane that couldn't be fixed (we could watch in real time from the gate) and once due to flight crew issues (we were actually boarded and ready to go when the pilot "timed out" and we all had to get back off the plane). Unlike in Europe, airlines in the US are not required to give cash compensation for such delays. The best they really offer is minimal (like, a sandwich) food vouchers (usable at the airport) and for overnight delays, rideshare/hotel arrangements (at hotels of their choice). However, at least with Delta I discovered that with an overnight delay I could have a meal at a proper restaurant and stay at a hotel of my own choice, and be reimbursed. Also, I did get FF miles credited for both events.

I look at the screen, and the little man is glowing bright red exclusively in the crotch and…. Back crotch. He puts on gloves and asks me if I want to do this in private…. I just looked down and mumbled “Nah… it’s fine right here” vacation is over, y’all. #insertjokehere That's when you gotta say, "I'm not sorry ;)" Re: bad southwest delays, I've had reallllllllllly bad aviation luck. I was delayed 27 hours going from DC to Anchorage last September. Delta s#it the bed, but they were able to rebook me on Alaska Airlines and reroute me through San Francisco (no extra cost to me and I still got credit for the original Delta flights). I thiiiiiiiink Southwest doesn't have interline agreements with other airlines and can't rebook you on other airlines. I'm still a Delta guy, but have a Chase credit card and can transfer Chase points to United. My Chase points are paying for my flights to Australia next year.

Elsammo46 Posted March 18 #1100 Share Posted March 18 Hope your first day back at school goes well! I'd wish you calm students, but coming from someone who has worked at a middle school himself...I know better than to wish for the impossible. 2
