Our no show was charged a $100 cancellation fee that came out of the refund of port charges. We sail on casino deals and this may be the reason. This would make since to me. If you pay $100.00 for your cabin and don't show or gamble that would cost somebody, whether it's the casino or the cruise line.

It makes sense that casino deals have their own special T&C. I have never seen the T&C for casino deals because the only gambling I do is the free 25 dollar platinum fun play. So in a sense maybe everyone here is correct for their particular sailing having fees eat out of the Port fee refund if they had booked a casino deal. Casino bookings have the same T&C as any sailing.

There was also a cancellation fee assessed, which is deducted from the refund of port fees and taxes. The agreement is cancellation fees will be assessed. We can use whatever semantics we want, a no-show is technically a cancellation. so they took the amount you paid for the canceled pax and charged you a cancelation fee on top of that? In my case, I was charged a $100 cancellation penalty, which was subtracted from the refund of taxes and fees. I received taxes and port fees minus $100. Not sure they have a legal right to keep port taxes for a port you never visited, especially if the taxes are assessed on a per passenger basis. Carnival either needs to turn the funds over to the ports or refund them to you. Yep! I just did a no show in Feb and got my port fees and taxes returned to me. MayorDrafty Posted March 18 #32 Share Posted March 18 I had a no-show on my booking last month, and sailed alone. Port taxes and fees were refunded to my onboard account.

Was your booking regular fare or was it a casino deal? Regular bookings should get the Port fees refunded but the water gets muddy when it comes to casino rates. They have special terms and condititions which I am not privy to.

I know there is a real Jerry Seinfeld because I saw his picture (Jerome Seinfeld) in my wife's high school senior year yearbook.

The character of George was loosely based by writer Larry David on himself. He just used his own neuroses magnified to some extent, to come up with George. If you every watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm" it gives some insight into Larry David's personality. To Stick93, I love that quote and use it regularly so it was fun to find it here. 1

On Curb Larry says to Jason Alexander that he was George when Jason called the character George a loser and that he was not a loser.
