It is a matter of itinerary, I would probably take Magic and the extra day, but I haven't been on Magic since 2016 but I do like the Dream class. I would add there shouldn't be a ton of kids in February.

This would make since to me. If you pay $100.00 for your cabin and don't show or gamble that would cost somebody, whether it's the casino or the cruise line.

We have been on 22 Carnival cruises and fortunately have never had to cancel. My question is if a person either cancels or no shows and Carnival gets to keep your entire fare why would you have to pay more, I understand they will be missing monies spent on booze, food upgrades and such but they are still paid in full and not guaranteed any extra will be spent. I thought I had read a chart that said at certain dates you would lose percentages that raise to 100% once past final payment. I can't find where it says you have to pay extra but I am good at overlooking things.

We were on the Jewel about 6 weeks ago. I remember all waiters, bartenders, casino staff, and guest services spoke in English at least to us. We watched a show or two and never heard Spanish. It shouldn't be a problem.

I believe the 1:00 PM shuttle may leave at 1:00 PM and arrive at 2:00 PM at the port. I could certainly be wrong and the shuttle may leave at two. The thing everyone is trying to tell you it is possible, maybe even probable this will work out just fine but have you ever been at the airport and find out your flight is delayed. Happens everyday sometimes just a few minutes sometimes a few hours. I hope you at least have a direct flight, a connection just adds to the chances of delay. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Starting Friday is the San Sebastion festival with tens of thousands expected to attend. I only know this because we are flying in Friday and sailing from there on Saturday. We were trying to figure out why it cost a fortune for one night at a hotel in the area. Enjoying your review.

We didn't think about noise and got a cove under the galley. Who would think it sounds like they turn that into a bowling alley at night. This was by far the noisiest cabin we have ever had. We now make sure we have cabins above and below us and just hope we don't get door slammers next door.
