Captain's Circle Number

 Share

Recommended Posts

I recently booked a cruise on Cunard.  First time sailing with them, so will be an interesting experience.  As part of the booking, I received a Cunard World Club number.  In looking at that number, it is the same as my Princess Captain's Circle number.  Does anyone know if this is normal?

I know both Princess and Cunard are owned by CCL, but I found it curious that the loyalty numbers would be the same.  My HAL Mariners Club number is similar, but different.  Unfortunately, my loyalty status on Princess hasn't carried over to Cunard.  😀

Similar experience booking HAL for the first time. My HAL number is the same as my Princess number. Doesn’t seem to be causing any issues with my bookings. Maybe at some point it will enable them to share loyalty levels or maybe they were just running out of numbers. 🤭. Seems to be how they do it now.

Well, sure.  There is a limited amount of 10-digit numbers to assign, after all.  That's obvious!  😀

But thanks for your observation about HAL, My HAL number is different and there's no impact on bookings.  I just found it odd...

I do not have a Princess number, however my HAL and Cunard numbers are the same.

Log into the Princess web site. Select 'My Account'. Your member number should be there on the top of the page.

Last week, princess agent cant find me when I try to book a cruise.  It turns out Princess change my captain circle number to my HAL Mariner number. Agent reassure me that all my history is correct.  After booking, I sign into my princess account and saw the new CC number and history.

Did this happens to anybody else?  Princess did the change without my acknowledgement.

I happened to speak with a Cunard agent today and asked her about it. Apparently all three lines share a single database, so the same number is used for all of them.

Princess number has always matched the HAL number...I'd say the rep just had issues using their computer.

Mine isn't even close to my HAL number which I have had for 40+ years. Captains Circle wasn't  even around at that time. Captains Circle was brought over from Sitmar Cruises.
