I learned something about the basic physics that creates the green flash during Kelly Beatty's lecture this morning.  Marcia and I seen it twice, once from the Los Angeles coast and once on a cruise--but not this cruise.

Tonight was our third and last Evening Chic Night.  I had the Creamy Salmon Rillette (photo), Creamy Smoked Tomato Bisque (forgot to take a photo), and the Broiled Lobster Tail (photo of a poorly plated one.

My wife, who isn't a lobster fan, ordered a lobster tail to go with her Duck A L'Orange so I could have a second lobster tail to avoid the fee.

Yes, exactly that one. Play the $1,28 or $1,76 that way you won't get into too much trouble and the payoff is pretty good. Especially this machine, a $50 mini is ripe for the picking!

Apple products are sold at the Innovations shop on Deck 5 and the Photo Gallery on Deck 4.  The inventory is limited.  They just sold their last iPad (none of which had the Apple M-based processor).  Surprisingly to me, the Innovations store carried M3 MacBook Pros although they only have the 16 inch laptop available as they had just sold their last 14 inch laptop).

We may circle back and do it tomorrow.

I took a few photos of the casino--a place will great lighting, splashy colors, and people with a wide range of facial expressions.  Celebrity allows photos but not videos to be taken in their casino.  However this casino had stricter rules.  I was told that I could not take any photos of the casino employees.  So, I asked one--in this case it was "Happy" in the photo that I posted yesterday.  When I asked, Happy, he turned around to ask the Pit Boss if that was okay.  The Pit Boss said that it was if he was ok with it.  I dutifully took my photo and decided not to take anymore pictures than these.

Tonight I was watching a player at the $10 table playing blackjack pretty crazy.  In one hand, he hit a a hard 18 when the dealer's upcard was a 6!  I noticed that after 15 minutes, he left the table empty handed...

Thanks for impressions of the casino! I always take my videos and photos when the casino is closed, which makes for a much better experience as nobody hassles me. 😄

No hassles for sure that way!  Until this sailing, I have not run into any problems before like this photo on Solstice (New Years Day 2020):

You and your wife should consider yourselves very luck to have experienced a green flash twice.  I did had 7 years of shipboard life in the Navy and have been on around 40 cruises and in all that time, I have witnessed only one green flash and that was off the coast of Vietnam in 1972.

My DW won $10 on one of the machines she did not do well on last cruise.  As we were leaving a lady asked us if we had won on that machine, and I said yes.  Can’t remember the name but it’s the $0.01 machine with the dollar bills on the starboard side of the ship.

I plan to hit the Dragon Lights machine while she’s in the SPA in about an hour.

AquaClass balcony cabins were installed where the kids club used to be (Deck. aft).  This change was made in 2012.

Millennium is the same.  People I have spoken with that are sailing in those cabins seem to like them but some have expressed concern about the impact of the outdoor theater that is up there.

No sunset photos tonight due to clouds.  Good night from onboard Summit

Color me jealous - Have not had any good photo opportunities from our balcony.  We are in the Aqua Sky Suite next to the Penthouse on deck 6.  The seas have been relative calm and we are traveling with the waves so it seems like we are hardly moving along at all.

It’s bright and sunny outside but no interesting cloud formations begging to be photographed in sight.

I am about to post a couple on my live review, one of which is interesting, IMHO>

We didn’t hear a thing on Infinity in one of those Aqua cabins.

I'm eagerly awaiting your report of the handpay. However, as far as Dragon Lights is concerned you should only play it when the number of potential free games is very high. You need to change the bet sizes a bit and see how the display changes to the most advantageous one. That's how I ended up with the $700 on our last night.

I do that all the time for my wife, but she also gets surf and turf and I get her steak.

My favorite memory was from pre-COVID. Can’t remember which line, but we discovered they were serving the “lobster” in the buffet so we went up there and got two, then had two more a couple hours later in the MDR. No, she doesn’t usually have two dinners but when lobster is available….🤓

Yes, we are very lucky to witness this rare atmospheric refraction phenomenon. According to our Behind the Podium speaker, Kelly Beatty, several unusual factors have to be present at the same time in order for it to occur. Having clear skies with an unobstructed view of the horizon is simply not enough.

Once you know where it is,  it's okay but what were they thinking?

They could have made it a secret speakeasy with a  Gatsby theme!

Celebrity would have to install doors with sliding peepholes at the entrance.
