Our first cocktail is the Martini Bar ,of course.  Cosmopolitan and Chocolate martini.  We will frequent this place, for sure!  I threw in a photo of Crush as well.

It is frosted, quite cold.  Don't leave the glass sitting too long or it will stick to the frosted surface.  😁

Just read this in a FB group: (Hope some of the rooms have been refreshed)

-Our cabin on deck seven hasn’t been refurbished. Very dated and balcony grubby.

-Our room on 8 has not been redone either. It’s not bad but it would have been a nice surprise. I just wanted the shower door instead if a curtain. Oh well!

Welcome aboard!!  As the saying goes, let's get jiggy with it!  We left our Rome Hotel Dei Borgognoni via our precooked online SharedShuttle reservation.  Cost was 80 EUR plus tip in a shuttle that we shared with 8 others going to our ship and picked up before us at various locations.  Uneventful ride although the shuttle was late arriving at the hotel.  Rome is crazy busy!  We left at 1100 and arrived port 1215 and through security by 1230 and sitting down for lunch at 1245.  We are in a Concierge Class Balcony cabin so we enjoyed lunch in the San Marco dining room.  I'll post a few photos to include one shot of our port of Civitavecchia with a pretty cool looking ferry, the Main Dining Room, our lunch menu along with food photos.  Beef and salmon dish and both dessert options.  I shall need another cocktail before posting stateroom and some ship photos.  Connie is in very good condition after her long spa days with face-lift.  😀

 

THANKS....We will also be in a Concierge balcony in December.  Had anything been done to refresh your cabin?

Well I say rubbish!  We are on deck 8 and our stateroom is wonderful!  I'll post more photos later, but don't worry.  The ship looks great!  Everyone is having a marvelous time!

Today, we did a Walks of Italy tour to include the Colloseum with Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.  Walks is putting it mildly.  They were more pricey than others but we truly did get a VIP experience to include the underground.  Not for those that have challenges walking for at least 3 hours straight, climbing multple stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces.  Having said that,  I've no idea how the h*ll I managed!  Wonderfully exhausting on the best weather day yet.  So exhausting that at one point Pete turned to me and asked "when is there a sea day"?  Hahaha Ummmm, dear, we are not even on the ship yet!  And happy birthday Rome, 2777 years young today!

Ok, so I have just a wee bit anxiety over posting some stateroom photos, but I am a firm believer of "fake news".  Seriously,  we love our somewhat modest cabin compared to the suites, I suppose.  Save for the shower curtain which based on comments might wrap and consume me every morning.  It could be worse but I'll let you know, for sure.  I have ninja powers while cruising because we purchase the premium drink package.  Anyway, here are stateroom photos.  Lots more to follow of the ship and sailaway.

Thanks for all the wonderful pics - love ur Ninja powers! (& the martini bar...).Boarding 13 May and although I am also not a fan of shower curtains, we will do our best to enjoy the wonderful cruise & destinations! First time ever being in a cabin at the very front of deck 7...fingers crossed for smooth sailing. Cheers!

Where did I leave off, not sure.  But I'll wing it.  Definitely no foodie, yummy, eat till we drop photos of dinner.   We hit the more totally fattening, just go ahead and paste it on my thighs now...buffet!  Shhhh.  Ok, we are rocking a bit now but the motion patches are working and the cute little bottle of red on the sittee looks lovely.  Open it up, read the card, and crap!  Not included in the package and that will be 30.00 USD, thank you.  Geesh.  More photos...

Nice nostalgic, memories of this style cabin.. I like the light wood.. and layout of the built ins and counter. But it is vintage.

 

It looks like an old couch, same patterned  " coverlet"  across the  bed, maybe same carpet or similar style.,. And still has a  shower curtain,,,looks newer..maybe new tile in shower...and updated shower mechanism

 

For us it would be how things function, ,  Are there enough elec outlets, do phones charge quickly,  does AC work well and quietly,  do the sink and shower drain well, does the toilet have any issues,  how is the water temp and pressure in the shower, does the safe work ok,  and does the fridge keep cool?  If these all check out Okay, we could be happy !
