Roomy with soft music, and also two on each deck for wheelchair users and their pushers only. Avril Really not too bothered about having dedicated disabled lifts, what I want is intelligent lift users who know to move away from the rear lift wall, rather than everyone heading for a wall as we get in, resulting in no way the wheelchair and I can fit in the lift. Yea why do they do that. I have pinned someone to the far wall with my wife's wheelchair just go to one side, unbelievable !

I don’t remember glass artwork on Arcadia but I may have missed or forgotten it. These are not Lalique style glass work but on Deck 1 the entrances to the theatre from both port and starboard are a corridor which curves round and has a small seating area 6/8 (?) seats part way along which is arranged around a huge egg shaped sculpture about 5 feet high covered in shiny metal or glass fragments creating an eye-catching structure which reflects light in all directions. I think they're spectacular but completely lost and overlooked in the location they're in! Wish I'd taken a picture now but given that these are not busy entrances to the theatre I wonder just how many people have never seen them. never_cruised Posted May 13 #82 Share Posted May 13 The Iona and the Arvia clearly were an attempt to appeal to younger couples and families although I’m not sure how well they achieved this in my experience.

Not very tbh. They are still behind RC and to an extent MSC. Our biggest complaint was the pools and lack of water slides. Pools too small and standing room only, (MSC pools are huge) and no water slides shame really as they keep kids busy and away from the main pools to an extent. Completely agree with you the Iona and Arvia are strange attempts at trying to appeal to a younger market , it’s like they tried with the bigger ship concept and trying a few new things whilst at the same time not completely alienating your existing demographic. In the end it probably didn’t work either way because you read many frequent P&O cruisers who don’t like the newer ships and the younger cruisers and families who see the ship lacking in things you’d expect on a mega ship. I agree, a family ship definitely needs a "Splashaway Bay" type water feature for youngsters from 3-14, as well as some adult water slides. FamilyCruiserUK Posted May 20 #95 Share Posted May 20 Tin Hat time. An Oasis class of ship with Arvias decor, the keel and cow (sooo good), sindu, i actually loved the menu. British styling through out. A proper sports bar not bolted onto the casino. 👍

Seriously if Princess Catherine wasn't unwell I'm 99.9% certain she would be Anne's Godmother, there are so many pictures of her in videos shot onboard it can't be coincidental. The guessing game continues for Liverpool 3 June!
