Day 1 Port Canaveral, around noon

We have been up since 4am.  Husband took my daughter and I to PHL this am.  Flight was fine.  Arranged a driver via Orlando transport to and from.  A little pricey but this is celebration for my daughter's college graduation.  Why not go all out!

Got to the Port Canaveral Port early (945am) as our flight was really early and we had a fast driver.  We discovered that we should bring our bags over to the YC tent rather than hand to porter.  We only had 1 big bag.  This is not really shared.  We found out from people ahead of us.

Had people already "talking" about luggage not making it onboard and "commenting" to port people.  Rule #1.  Don't argue with those who handle your luggage!!  Just smile.

We waited a bit then showed our passports and QR codes.  No paper is necessary.  Had our pictures taken.

Were escorted to TSL.  Now, I was only on the Divina YC and all I can say is WOW!  How gorgeous this ship is!!  We met the concierge, the YC director, and already see a difference from December.  Much more interactive.  Was escorted to our room up on 19006.  Currently my daughter is taking a catnap while I post.  She is already loving it.

We did hear some non YC complaints (HEY HOW COME THEY GET TO GO!!!).  I said get used to it and don't feel guilty!

Already love the beautiful decor of the ship.  We are headed to OceanCay tomorrow for an Overnight then to Nassau.  We have quite a few excursions on Ocean Cay as I can't sit still.

302 guests this sailing.  Quite a few families with young ones.

Had lunch at Le Muse. A little hectic.  Forgot our desserts so of course I contacted MSC onshore.  Just kidding.  We headed back to room, unpacked, changed into swim suits and currently chilling on Deck 20 enjoying the sun and pool.

Did note the cabanas or day beds appear to be taken by invisible guests.

Ordered a margarita for myself and my DD got an Ocean Cay.  Getting ready to go in pool and chill.

I think you may have the name of the restaurant wrong. I have never seen a restaurant named "Le Muse" on the Seashore. There is a restaurant with that name on the Divina.

Other than that, I am enjoying your report. I will be on the next (June 6) Seashore YC.

Evening Day 1

Wow what a day!  Daughter is loving the experience.  She is the youngest of 5, 22 and is absolutely delightful to have onboard.  She has been very social chatting with fellow guests at dinner, by the pool and our butler.  Loves the YC experience especially cutting lines.  Like her impatient mom she hates waiting.

So again it amazes me how psychic the YC is.  We were talking in the room how we didn't meet our butler.  1 minute later she knocked on the door.  At dinner we were worried we would miss the show.  20 seconds later our food appeared.

Speaking of food, excellent.  Filet mignon was cooked well and seasoned well.  Had tiramisu for dessert which was delicious

Concierge was a tremendous help tonight.  For some unknown reason I booked 4 (!) excursions tomorrow.  Yes, 4.  But only 3 tickets appeared.  The concierge couldn't figure it out then said ah 19016 cancelled BUT the excursion desk cancelled YOU in 19006.  They did fix it.  Plus they assured my daughter she would have a lobster roll saved for her plus a mojito.

Went to Totally Diva show or total diva.  Singers were excellent.  The one who sang Whitney Houston I will always love you was phenomenal.  I don't normally like the shows but this one I did.  No one walked out.

Have easily figured out the elevators or rather my daughter did.

We did go out to gen pop then went right back.

Do have noisy neighbors but it's 9pm and people have been drinking since 1030 (maybe earlier?).  A LOT of drunks at dinner.

Early am day 2

As usual couldn’t sleep in so decided to walk around ship.  I've seen many videos of the Seashore and it didn't disappoint.  What a gorgeous ship!  Was able to actually check out thermal spa area and pool.  May try this later.

Spoke to concierge this am and she asked if it was my daughter's graduation trip.  See?  They are psychic!  I said yes and she loves it so far.  She is arranging a cake for dinner tomorrow!  Already I can see the differences between Divina and here.  THIS is what I thought YC should be.  Don't get me wrong, I loved our previous YC experience.  But that was a little less attention?  Trying to find the right word.

We do have a few blowhards on this cruise who are driving daughter crazy with the spiel of I've been on 1000 cruises and I'm the cruise honcho blah blah.  Probably time to lower the voice and rein it in.  We do laugh at it.  They sat behind us in show and never shut up with ongoing commentary about what and who was next until I finally said hey guys WE never saw this, can you please let us watch?  My daughter was about to post a tiktok story until I stopped her called Entitled boomer cruisers.  I said ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I did note there is yoga on the beach at Ocean Cay today plus pickleball at sports court later. Plus a lot of activities at ocean cay like volleyball, soccer tournament, bocce ball, aqua aerobics...  Not sure if this is normal.

We have a stingray excursion followed by snorkeling, wave runner then boat to watch light show.

Thanks for doing this review. DH and I sail Seashore in September for his first MSC experience. I fell in love with MSc and the YC last year, and I can't wait to have him see how awesome it is!

We are in YC that sailing too.  Headed over to port Canaveral tomorrow.  We have 4 couples for a cousins family cruise.  You will see us with our obnoxious matching shirts on embarkation day.  Say hi and will buy you a drink at the YC bar 😉

Day 2 Ocean Cay.

Started the day doing my morning jog on treadmill, packing for day, breakfast then down to island.  We docked at 730am.  We had an excursion Stingrays at 845.  Breakfast was unusually slow (more on this later,).

We did get an escort down to our excursion.  No towels available at the YC pool deck for excursion.  Or our room.  We didn't think about it until too late and our escort was apologetic but said there were none to be had.

We set off on our stingray sailing late of course because people can't be on time for anything.  Used Neal Watson Tours an outfit we have used in Bimini.  They do the cruise ship tours.  Really good operation.  If you are ever in Bimini, try them.

We got all the way to the small island they use for the stingrays and couldn't drop anchor so we went back.  More on this.

We then walked over to the YC.  Not a far walk and it was early so not too hot.

We had our next excursion with same outfit Neal Watson for Shipwreck Snorkeling.  Met up at 1145 at excursion pavilion.  Again, stragglers.  20 minute boat ride to wreck.  Word of warning.  If you are like me and snorkel everywhere, this wreck is a little tame BUT it is cool with a growing reef.  Snorkeling vests optional which I love.  We did this for an hour then returned at 150.  Now, remember all food including YC shuts down at 2 on OC.  So we luckily got a shuttle and arrived at 155pm.  The yc staff tried telling us kitchen was closed.  I said wait a minute.  YC saw my ticket time and should have known there may have been an issue and at least asked my plans.  So another staff said no worries, what do you want?  We gave order of lobster roll and burger which were outstanding.  But we were a little annoyed.

After lunch we headed for beach and swam more.  Yes, still rocky.  Wear water shoes.  Like this in a lot of places.  No jellyfish which wasn't the case for other areas of OC.

Heard a child got lost and GS would not help mom.  Per FB.

We had our waverunner excursion canceled but the excursion desk said if we wanted there was a 430 stingray which we could do.  So at 345pm we left beach and headed back to ship.  Here is where things went sour.   No YC line.  So we were unfortunately stuck with slow elevators on 4 and needed to get to 19.  It took us 30 minutes to drop off our stuff and go back down.  We asked for an escort to speed up and unfortunately none available which I was a tad annoyed at.  We did fortunately make the excursion.

The way OC does stingrays is much better than Cayman and Antigua.  No holding...etc...  I hate this personally but I did know prior that OC frowns on this which was why I did it.  We fed the stingrays fish.

Back to ship at 620pm.  We had our twilight ride at 830 so we showered and got to dinner at 7pm.

So far the food menu has not been to our liking but probably because I don't eat anything from water or nuts.  My daughter doesn't like desserts.  The food service is slow and sloppy.  No refills with drinks or water.  One small roll and giant butter.  Slow to table.  Other tables arrive later and served quicker.  Have no idea who maitre d is.  Ignored most of meal.  This is so far 4 meals in.  We skipped my dessert as it was 815pm and we got our entrées at 810pm.  Our order was not taken until 720.

The light show was really nice from the boat excursion.  Bonfire on beach and conga line.  We did order pizza room service.

Again no escort to excursion or back.  We did ask.  Still have not met YC director.

I have to say, your experience with the maitre'd and YC director are polar opposites to what we experienced on MSC  Divina.  Mehmet, the Maitre'd was ever present in Le Muse.  Always quick with a smile and frequently stopping by to make sure everything was okay.   Giuseppe, the YC Director, was also everywhere.  Always quick to say hello and make sure everything was going well. On port days he would spend most of the day at the gangway making sure his YC guest were taken care of.

Day 3 Ocean Cay part 2.  Onboard last night was 1130.  We were allowed off at 730 today with onboard at 1130am.  I did my 5 mile run at gym, enjoyed a cafe latte from TSL then woke up daughter and took a 2.5 mile walk around OC.  Stopped at YC for sodas.

Decided to skip breakfast and head to thermal spa instead and then up to the pool.

Mehmet was amazing.  My husband loved him as well as Pepe.

We have experienced the lack of a YC line or at least escort at several ports lately and always at OC.  It is quite disappointing.  Due to your issues, I would go to the concierge and ask to see the YC immediately.

Went to Thermal spa and tried the pool, saunas, snow room.  Liked it.  Heat doesn't bother me as I am a disciple of Hotworx (hot yoga) and can easily handle 125 degrees of dry heat. The snow room?  Brrrrr.  But we said why not?

Currently on the pool deck.  Enjoying a bloody mary now.

yes that is irritating but the other thing that is a trifle annoying is the magnetic lock on doors to get into YC do not work on 18 and 19.  Have not worked the entire time.  You have to go to 16 and either go to the elevator or the steps.  My daughter said it's our exercise to burn off booze.
