We are flying into Anchorage from Detroit, we will arrive in Anchorage 11:30am, by the time we collect luggage and 2 car rentals for our group of 8, our internal clock will be 4:30pm… thinking we should find somewhere to eat before we make the drive to our Airbnb in Seward.  Any recommendations?  Don’t really care about the bar atmosphere because we will be driving afterwards.  Maybe somewhere with good fish and chips, burgers, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I recommend 49th State...not the one at the airport...but the one that is downtown.  The chowder, the yak burger and the elk smash burger are amazing.  It's also a brewery so the beer menu is pretty awesome as well.

If you like specialty pizzas, Moose's Tooth is a must.  Plus, this restaurant isn't out of your way downtown.  It's just off your route.

I've been looking forward to trying that Yak burger since we started planning our trip in 2022,

Arctic Roadrunner on Old Seward Hwy would work. It’s a 10 minute drive from the airport and on your way out of town. It’s a favorite locals spot.

I was going to suggest the same.  Kodiak Islander burger and onion pieces.  Sit outside next to Campbell Creek.  Maybe pick someone to eat light so they can avoid food coma on the stunning drive down Turnagain Arm.

F Street Station and Humpys are down town. In Girdwood there is the Bake Shop. You could also go gift shopping in Anchorage and enjoy a Reindeer sausage sandwich from a street vendor.
