Our fantastic Arvia cruise June 9th- June 23rd

Well Graham I was on this cruise too 😊

When we went to Valencia we went into the shopping centre adjacent to the shuttle drop off point for a coffee.  We were on a staircase or an escalator and I caught a fleeting glimpse of a gentleman sitting in the lower ground floor having coffee and I thought ‘ooh that looks a bit like photos I’ve seen of Graham on CC’ 🤣🤣 Could that have been you??!

I’m so cross I didn’t stop and say hello now!

Lovely photos Graham, and Pauline looks as elegant as always. It's always good to see a thread you know will be positive.  

 

We are joining Iona on Saturday for a week's Fjords cruise, mostly because it fits the bill in terms of timing and length (it's our Golden wedding on 5th and the ship returns on 6th).  We went on her last year, and doubted we would ever go on her again, but I have taken a leaf out of your book and made speciality dining reservations for most nights. 

 

The 6th Street diner sounds very interesting, so maybe we will take a look at Arvia at sometime .... I'll hold on to that thought until I've given Iona another chance next week 😉

It wasn't me but I did sit down for about 15 minutes outside the Zara shop near the entrance of the shopping centre while Pauline was shopping in Zara.

I did have 2 cups of coffee in the Corte del ingles shop in Alicante while Pauline was shopping.

I knew you were on board but I didn't know what you looked like but it would have been lovely to meet you.

Only from passengers in the pool pushing water over the top who didn't realise there was balcony cabins below.

The staff in Epicurean on Iona in March were super friendly.

Our favourite waiter was Evalene a Filipino lady who was absolutely fantastic with us in Sindhu in January and March on Iona.

I think you are been too kind to your fellow passengers. We had the same issue on the previous cruise and they knew what they were doing. We reported it to the Deck supervisor who knew it was a problem on the balcony cabins more so in the middle of the aft deck.

Hi Grapau , was on same cruise, with a very simliar approach. At back of ship , star board suite, the noise from sunset bar that I'd read about was non existent. The Captain was laugh. Great cruise

 

Booked like you I  advance,  10 in Epicurean  , 2 limelight,  1 Sindu , 1 Mizuhana.  Recognise dishes in your pictures. Must of been in Epicurean together on multiple nights. Staff in Epicurean made us feel really at home. Like you enjoyed all the restaurants.

We were aft deck 14.

We were in same location 6 times on Iona and have never heard any noise from the sunset bar.

We dined every night at 6pm.

It would have been lovely to meet you and Pauline too 😊. I’m sure you would have recognised me - I’m the one that was a stone heavier at the end of the cruise than I was at the beginning 🤣🤣

Did you try the 710 club?  We didn’t try it until the next to last night but it’s a fabulous venue. My favourite place now!

No we never went there.

I think we all are a stone heavier after all the delicious food we ate.

I had pre-booked the Take That tribute in the theatre for 8.30pm.

We walked past at 7.45pm and there was a long queue and as I can't stand for long we decided to give it a miss.

1 morning there was a retired airline pilot guest speaker in the theatre which we went to and it was interesting.
