If the Serenity’s library is moving to the open space in the Lounge and the books are placed on the existing shelves there, what happens to the librarian?

They have to be considering at least a mild refit of that space, and include the librarian in the new setup...  If they just throw the books in that fugly cave as it exists today, Crystal's loyalists are going to riot.

No impact on the Librarian which was confirmed by the CEO.

Also, I am sure they will need to lock the books up at night and check them out and the librarian would continue to do the same functions as they do today including recommending books to order based on guest feedback, unpacking new books, letting guests know when a book is returned, etc., etc., etc.

*Casino Update*
Greetings Crystal Society Members,
After listening to your feedback regarding the casino since our announcement yesterday, we have a few updates to share:
· The Library will remain where it is on both ships and not be changed.
· Bridge will be played in the Lounge on both ships during designated Bridge Hours. For tournaments, we will ensure that there is no flow of passengers through the Lounge to guarantee no interruptions during play. Additionally, Bridge play equipment will be provided in The Lounge during this time.
While we appreciate everyone’s feedback, no further modifications will be made, and this is the final configuration.
We hope you are as excited as we are about bringing back the casinos to Crystal.

Both Margie and Liesl provided librarian services in crew quarters too.

Well, hallelujah. Perhaps the accountants finally took a closer look at the expense and disruption that would occur with the previous concept. Until it changes again....😆🤔

Hooray! I’m so glad the libraries will remain where they are. They are such a joy to so many. There was no reason to move multiple locales around. This makes much more sense.

Betcha they'll have a high minimum at the tables.

I doubt if Monaco Casinos even knows of the existence of anything under a $25 table.  And I'll be more inclined to find $50 minumums and $5 and $10 slots.  With then three coins as well.

All those "I like to just play a little to pass the time" folks are going to find out it's not the same as it was.

My black chip worth.

I am not seeing $5 and $10 minimum table limits here either

Glad you didn't hold back your true feelings...  😆

It's also a super-easy fix to change them out on the existing ships too, if needed.  Time till tell the success either way -- I have no prediction how it will go at this point, but the concept-agnostic venues like this are always easily flipped.

I value the big windows in the libraries and bridge lounges, both of which I use during daylight hours.  The casinos lure me late at night, and big windows won't add any value to me at that time of day.  So I am a little disappointed to lose the big windows in the bridge lounge.

The only time we spent in the casino was when it was our lifeboat station! Having said that, I am reminded of that old saying;

"Be careful what you wish for, because sometimes you get it!"

I too am glad the library will stay as is.  i enjoy the library with natural light.

If the casino is going to be in what is now the bridge lounge having higher limits makes sense. Smaller venue casinos are not geared for the casual players.

In my opinion...good moves all around.

I hadn’t thought of this - but the bridge room is small so this makes perfect sense. And the choice of casino operators will make it more sophisticated and upscale than a mass market line. Very good venue choice now that I mull it over a bit. Maybe a few who love to sit at slots will be disappointed, there probably won’t be room for a big bank of those (which is fine with me). Again, that keeps it sophisticated.
