Celebrity Bank of America Redeemed Points

Recommended Posts

Recently we signed up for the above credit card and paid our final payment for our upcoming Oct. cruise.  Today, I logged onto the Bank of America website and redeemed some points for another cruise which we have this Jan.  I did make a copy of my confirmations for our records.

Will this on board credit be available for pre-cruise purchases and show up for our Jan. cruise when logging on to celebritycruises.com?  Or will we receive confirmation of the on board credit after we board in January?

Yes (maybe).  If you call 800-760-0654 (Captains Club) they'll process it immediately (even if already submitted online but not yet processed).  If you wait on the online submission, the fulfillment time varies.

I just went through this for my late Sept cruise. I am fully paid AI and tips. I have called and did it over the phone with someone from Celebrity because I wanted a new invoice that showed the OBC. I won't book anything pre cruise as we have the classic package and I thought instead of upgrading to the premium package I would use it for any drinks we may want above the classic price. We are playing it by ear. We are not booking excursions and may just use it at a specialty restaurant or in the casino.

Is this a refundable OBC?

Yes,  when I have redeemed mine in the past it is refundable OBC.

Great info ! I was just looking for this answer this morning. We just transferred points from our credit card to get OBC and was not sure how long it was going to take and I want to take advantage of the sale that’s going on. We just did the transfer yesterday so I will wait till tomorrow if I don’t see it, I will call.!!

OK so now oddly I’ve had a wine and food pairing in my cart all day 35% off. I go to use my onboard credit and now it’s only offering 15% even though the sales still going on.?? Anybody have any idea thanks for any info I’m not going to book it for the 15% off

Thanks for the replies.  If I do not see the obc reflected when I log onto our cruise by Monday, I will also be making a call to the Captains Club.

I was told when I called that it takes only 15 minutes to update. I would call and ask them to send you an updated invoice that will reflect the OBC. You won't see it under reservation details. You have to go to plan my cruise and choose a category to make a purchase. Example drink packages. At the top of the page in the black banner on the right hand side it will list you cruise date and next to that will be the amount of OBC.

I just wanted to leave an update that I called Celebrity and they were able to apply the missing $150 OBC .And she did a work around to book me the food and wine pairing for the 35% off that I had in my cart yesterday. She ended up giving us $40.00extra onboard credit to compensate for the 20% that it went up ? She did not know why since the sale was still going on but she was very nice and helpful!

I used BOA Celebrity points for OBC on Royal New Years eve. Redeemed 25k on 6/28. Didnt post to online view. Called, CSR said dont worry, we have until a week prior of sailing to post. Last week still didnt see it, so I called again, explaining i cant book ahead of sailing. Was put on hold about 10 mins, Jose came back and said its handled. 15 minutes later it was attached online and i could spend it.

But we will spend it on cocktails since we dont have drink package on Royal.

You can print out copies of confirmation from BOA website as needed, after the fact.
