Any idea what this means? I'm currently Amethyst with 39,888 total points. Are they going to send special offers for these members?

The Blue Chip 2024-2025 earning period starts today.  The dates/times listed above are when they are going to send your "tier renewal email" which includes:

"For tiers receiving an annual cruise benefit, the booking window will open by the end of August 2024—after you receive your tier renewal email."

I believe those are the annual '24 - '25 Blue Chip program tier renewal dates.  I don't participate so I cannot say for certain, but received an email today indicating that.

Then you're already well ahead of me because I never receive any useful emails from Celebrity. Only worthless junk.

Well no offense, but as I am not a player that email ended up being placed by me in my junk mail file.

@Fly and Sail it would seem this might be your answer.

I checked with two high rollers...Yes, they claim you'll be offered a free "annual cruise benefit" on select sailings for those with a high enough tier on the date listed.  For Amethyst, it's an inside room for two.  However, there are all sorts of reports of annual cruise denials with the BCC claiming it's based on play and a "benefit" doesn't mean it's an "entitlement".  Also, if you have multiple offers, as soon as you book one, don't be surprised if some or all of the other offers disappear so that may come into play (if you can book the annual cruise, other offers disappear)

Plan on calling when they open on August 21st, hope for the best, and if denied, call back to see if you get the same story

We got this today. I just cut out the pertinent part. We also received our Aug 1 "free" cruise offer.

What's even worse is that they previously claimed it's based on the play of your last cruise. So basically, you earn 40,000 points and hold Amethyst status but are denied the free sailing because you were sick during your last cruise or the casino staff had COVID-19, and they shut down your favorite table games.

I'm not going to waste my time talking to these people. BCC staff is a joke.

It seems like most of your comments about the BCC with Celebrity are negative.  If that's the case, why do you choose to participate - and at an apparently high level?  Just curious.

Amethyst isn't really a high level, and cycling 40k through slots doesn't take very long. It worked ok to get ~ 12 free cruises, and as long as you can do everything online without interacting with live agents, it's fine. But I don't expect many good offers anymore these days; we need a second wave of Covid for that.

Ok Im lost here. As far as BCC you will be notified on the date at your level? So if you are Onyx now you will get notified on August 22 and 23. What is that based on last cruise or past year?

Why would they have the dates from different levels scattered during the month. So do we lose the level we are on in 2025 if we don’t sail in 2025.

seems like we are getting the short end of the stick but it’s confusing enough I don’t know why?

If you were Onyx on your last sailing you will be Onyx until July 31, 2025.   However today you have 0 Blue Chip points as the points reset on Aug 1 and you are earning status now for the Aug 2025-July 31, 2026 year.   If you don't sail this year you will no longer be Onyx on Aug 1, 2025.

The emails being sent out staggered I believe are the notification of your 2024-2025 benefits.  For Onyx probably equates to junk mail😀  For the higher tiers with annual cruise benefits I believe this is when the benefit is loaded in their system for booking.

That's my understanding at least.  Open for correction.

That isn't a high level?  I wouldn't cycle through 1/10th of that in a lifetime in any casino game! Certainly a different perspective!  But then again I'm not a gambler.  Again, JMO.

Wow!   So I just called to book a casino offer and chatted with the rep after we finished to ask a few questions.

they have pretty much gutted this program.  I have a Jan 2025 cruise booked and paid for under the old rules.  The new cruise is under the current rules.

I am sapphire and have lost the beverage package, the priority boarding and luggage, the credit for prior cruise play, and even lunch on embarkation day.    (How much could that have cost them?)

as far as I can tell, I get WiFi, 15% off spa, free drinks in casino while playing.

Im not sure it is worth high levels of playing for perks.     But, someone enlighten me if I’m miss reading.

The new rules are at Www.bluechipcluboffers.com.   Sapphire has been split into two levels now.    But basically , if your not Onyx, you got jack.  😫😫😫

I wonder if you called back if you’d get the same answer. I was assured several times, after reps checked with supervisors, that I would receive my Sapphire perks for two cruises booked quite a while ago. One cruise is in September. The other is in June 2025. There was confusion, and I was told several things over the course of a few phone calls, including that I wouldn’t get any of the benefits, but eventually I was told I would indeed get the Classic drinks package and the other stuff.

My point exactly……..

You forgot the Effy credit!  lol

Edit to add, my WAG ("Wild A$$ Guess") is they removed the drink package so it encourages gamblers to visit the casino more often
