@jam19872016, I think I know what your problem is in the casino! The casino must think you’re the mystery man, Andrew, who is not lucky in the casino! Now all you have to do is convince the casino that you’re you, not this unknown Andrew person who has my kind of luck in the casino. Once you do that you’ll go back to your own winning ways.

Let me know if that works. I’ll pick someone I know who is lucky in the casino and try to pretend I’m her! 😂🎰😂

I'll try that! Darn Andrew maybe he was the problem this whole time!

That was a great summer! Great times, great memories! I sure wish I was as fit and healthy now as I was then.

That was 18 years before my time so I will take your word for it 😆

Now the summer of 06, that was a good one, but not nearly as catchy.

Does that mean you’re finally winning? The casino must know who you are now if that’s the case!

I would normally be up for a while longer but I have roller coasters to go ride later today and safaris to go on and a Lion King and his friends to go meet so I need some sleep 😴. 🦁 🦓 🦒 🦍 🐘

She's good...bored to tears at home but not comfortable driving long distances by herself and I could not get enough time off to go get her. I will be moving back near her soon to be able to keep a closer eye on her and help her out more.

She didn't get approved for her weight loss surgery. She also now needs surgery on both eyes which is another reason she is not comfortable driving far. She hopes to get that surgery scheduled next month.

Poor her. It will be nice for her to have you closer to hand. Is it cataracts or something more complicated?

Maybe I'll be back at Coco Cay before your next visit...

Thanks for your kind words. She's a better mom than I am son.

Unless you’re a very good actor, you seem a pretty decent son to me.

Eeek roller coasters sound scary bit the rest sounds exciting.

No, casino was still not quite coming around but it was trying. Ended up cashing out and leaving before they could kick me out, try again tomorrow.

What a wonderful day even without lady luck joining me.

I am back at the home base now turning in for the night.

Tomorrow is Nassau unless I succeed in sleeping in 😴

Thanks for following along see everyone tomorrow.

I had both my eyes done a couple of years ago. It is very straightforward, has a massive success rate, takes only ten minutes, though there is quite a lot of hanging around beforehand waiting for the drops to work, and you are home in time for lunch. But the thought of it is very scary. The second one is much less so.😀

I really like Nassau as well. I think it is so funny that the people shout at each other all the time. I never know if they are fighting or if that’s just the way they talk.  It’s entertaining in any case. I’m sure if I had to listen to it all the time I would go bonkers.

Just curious. What do you like to do in Nassau? It's probably been 20 years since we did anything in port. We tried a few beaches but never found one we liked. Since then, we usually stay on the boat or avoid it in the itinerary. Now I have 4 upcoming cruises with stops there. I want to find something to like about it.

I really enjoy just taking a walk over to Junkanoo as well as the waterfront area around Margherita Ville and the Straw Market. The distillery is a nice visit if you've never been. I don't really look for beaches to go to when traveling as I live down the street from the Atlantic Ocean.

Here is what sold me on Nassau. One time we got there early on a Sunday when nothing was open. Decided to go to church at the cathedral. People were coming up to us and welcoming us there. During communion the bishop of Nassau actually stopped when I got to him and welcomed me to the cathedral. This all left an impression on me of the local people and provided me with insight that I'll never forget. I don't have a bad thing to say about the place. I love interacting with the local people of places I'm visiting.

We have had similar experiences in Nassau. We have taken several routes on the city busses, round trip. The other passengers have been so sweet and helpful, even chasing Gary’s ball cap when it blew off his head. We have been invited to move to the front row once most passengers have gotten off the bus, and the drivers have provided many details about the areas we pass through, plus general information about Nassau. We take the routes that go to the local areas and enjoy seeing the “real” Nassau instead of just the pretty tourist areas.

Good morning everyone from Nassau.

Not sure what I am going to get up to today, I'd like to walk around a little in port but not sure if I'll be up to it if the sun is not playing nice outside. It was not as hot as I feared yesterday, but yet I am still a little red this morning. I may just walk around the port area and head back.

I really enjoyed Darla last night. She has really great vocals. She has a little bit of a country twang and I enjoyed her renditions of "When You Say Nothing At All". But she is also incredibly versatle and seamlessly covered Jewel, Amy Winehouse, The Cranberries, The Killers, even Abba and Queen. Every song she did, her vocal style just really fit.

The thought is indeed very scary. She is hesitant to get it done. One time I talk to her and she is going to put it off, then next time her vision has scared into doing it, She has an appointment the 26th to set a date hopefully. A friend just had the same surgery and ended up with two black eyes which is not helping put her mind at ease.
