Solo meetings

settle an discussion with a friend - do all NCL ships have solo meetings? even those without solo lounge/studios?

In my experience, yes. I have only been on one ship with Studios, but all other ships have had solo meetings as well

Yes and you should find them listed as Time and Place on your first Daily in your cabin. My experience has been on both the newer and the older ships, always. Obviously, those with the studio lounges are usually in that area.

YES  Times and locations are listed in the Freestyle Daily.  Meetings are usually around 5:30 P.M. in a bar location.

That's one of the things that sets NCL apart from other cruise lines when it comes to solo travelers - solo meets every day...

I was on the Joy a few months ago.  It doesn’t have solo studios or a solo lounge, but it does sell cabins for solos.  Our solo meetings were in the whiskey bar each evening.

Usually, an NCL staff member will conduct a solo meeting every day about 5.30pm and will take names for the MDRs so that the solos can have dinner together at a large table or two later in the evening.

Yes there are solo meetings each night. Even if there was a studio lounge, it is not used for meetings anymore. It is usually at a bar and time is around 5-5:30 pm (it will be on the NCL freestyle daily).

I have never been on an NCL cruise (over 10) that did not have a solo meet up

Yes, they do.  It's my experience that most cruise lines and ships have them, however, NCL's are hosted and people attend.  The other cruise lines I've been on, no host and a handful of people show up on the first meet only, if that.

so you've been on every cruise on every ship with a lounge and know for a fact that this is the case?  They certainly TRY to use the lounge, but if the group is too big they will move it.
