Mine is a silly question…

I did a B2B this past April…had a wonderful foot massage on each leg of the trip.  Our group had a large inflatable that we named Fred.  At the end of the trip, I gave Fred to the ladies in the spa to take on the their next cruise and asked that they send pics of Fred’s adventures.  If you have a chance, can you check to see if Fred is still around and having fun?

I told you it was silly!!!  Here is a picture of Fred with the ladies in the spa…and our group with the CD, Eddy…not sure why that one is upside down 😵‍💫.

I will ask about the inflatable, but I can tell you that eddie has retired from Celebrity and moved on to calmer seas somewhere

I do hope you are having an enjoyable time. Is the Sky Lounge closure you have been kind enough to report on affected you much or isn’t it a preferred venue of yours? I guess lounges are like all spaces, everyone has a preferred…

Because it forces trivia into the Ensemble, which is not a good venue for that, it has negatively affected my Cruises. And it has removed ensemble as the “quiet” space for reading.  It has also limited the number of movies that can be shown in Celebrity  Central.  That’s Another activity I enjoy.  So it has been an annoyance every day.  
 

But it still beats being at home…..

Totally understand…We all have our own favourite spots.
 

As you say, there is a knock on re other venues like the Ensemble has had to change its usual ambiance for parts of the day. You can’t close off spaces to guests without there being an impact on other places and the number of activities being offered. On a warm weather cruise perhaps it would be less noticeable but on a cold weather cruise on sea days…

 

So pleased your usual positive attitude remains and you are making the most of your cruise. As you say, better than being at home!

Are there footstools and reclining chairs on the hump balconies?  Would rather NOT have to bring footstools or inflatable things.  We’re on the upcoming TA.

How is the food in the MDR? Can you recommend Tuscan Grill? Can you share a photo of the living tree in the atrium?

We are booked on the Silhouette in April. Can you comment on the condition of the ship, both the public spaces and the cabins? We sailed the Equinox and the Solstice back in 2022. The Solstice was in noticeably worse shape than the Equinox at that time.

I’ll get you a photo tomorrow. Food in the main dining room and Tuscan has been fine. Have especially enjoyed some of the off-menu choices in the main dining room.

Ship is spotless and everything that I have encountered is in good working order but April is a long way off and who knows what you will encounter then?

Silhouette is due into dry dock just before the transatlantic from Barcelona in November. I would think this dry dock will also change out carpets and other minor updates to interior spaces.

So to clarify the November 16 TA sailing will be her first sail after dry dock? We are on that cruise so hope she gets out of dry dock in time. One never knows what other things are discovered when a ship goes into dry dock! Ask any countries Navy!

I was reminded this morning of some things that needs attention, but I don’t think they will do anything about any of them during the dry dock. There are windows in the sky lounge and Tuscan which are noticeably cloudy. I will ask if they are scheduled for a replacement during the dry dock.

I just ran into the Hotel Director and asked about plans for the dry dock.  Two areas that will be worked on during the dry dock are the tiles on decks four and five and the windows in the gym, Tuscan, and Sky Lounge
